will bootrom make ps1 emulation faster?? will dumping it allow for making the wifi adapter stronger connection wise?? (my wifi runs at 6.0+ gigs a second and I don't see that speed being used when downloading from the eshop and I get disconnected easily during hunts in mhg and have large connection lag in sm4sh despite upgrading wifi providers from att&t to charter spectrum) also does having boot rom allow us to make a bannerbomb exploit for the 3ds?? (I already have a9lh so this would be useless to me but, would make getting into homebrew easier for others...)

well if I'm wrong on all of these questions, at least tell me what the bootrom actually does so I don't look like a misinformed optimistic idiot...

well thank you I'll take a look at this :)

is it possible to increase how much data the system recieves increasing download speeds and preventing wifi lag and disconnections? because everything with my wifi is good, just the system is lagging when using wifi and It has gotten to a point where playing smash 3ds online is not even playable... and I hate it when I get disconnected during a hunt being left alone to fight whatever monster I'm fighting just because of connection issues...

The lag and disconnections are not dependent in any way on bootrom. Not even the download speed, it's all hardware based. When your 3DS downloads something from the eShop it can't go faster than it's hardware (and the SD card in it) can handle. The lag may be caused by multiple things, obstacles between 3DS and router, other people in the house using internet (which can really tax it), a cheap router can also be a problem.
Also, 6.0+ gigs a second? Now now, do you have access to some top secret NASA prototypes? Because consumer WiFi can reach at most what, like 450Mb/s and that's just the local speed, you'd need a beefy internet connection to support it

No. Google something before you post about it, and please post this in the noob paradise if you really must.

noob paradise?? and I thought gbatemp was filled with helpful and kind developers of homebrew not the kind of developers who request people to ask a search browser for help when you can ask a developer who spends his/her free time developing for the damn console and you tell me to ask google??

Your questions were honestly quite dumb. You kind of need to be told it plain. Bootrom dumping won't unlock the debug mode for real life or anything.
The only one that even remotely makes sense is the improvements to PS1 emulation that could come from booting a completely custom-built OS. And that would take a lot of work for a very small payoff, because the PSP (and by extension, the Vita} does it so much better.

There is literally a thread pinned called 'Noob paradise: ask questions here'. Developers aren't here to serve you. Stop wasting people's time.

sorry if my questions "sounded dumb"... I'm still learning on how internet networking works... I meant like boosting the buffer cache for or wifi settings for the entire system and not just for the downloads for freeshop...

You were saying you shouldn't have to google something, and that you though developers could help you. Don't waste their time.
no... i just think that asking real people will get me better results than going on google and get some bull response like yours... I don't mean to waste anyones precious time... I just wanted an answer for my online gaming problems... not some guy telling me to go to a browser, which I already tried but got nothing helpful...

Why do you need to make new posts, wasting people's time, when you can look at the the wololo.net article by googling '3ds bootrom'? It tells you what it can do. The article is literally the first thing that comes up.

heres the website... its 60 mbs not 60gbs so I was wrong about that but, they say I can connect all of my devices without slow down so that was false advertising....
Ok, yeah, 60Mb/s is actually right. And in a way it is false advertising, especially if the router they give is crap, it just may not handle if there is too many devices connected to WiFi and may be dropping connection.

Did a quick google search (prior to provision of link) and found that that company is in legal trouble currently because they aren't exactly offering what they are claiming. But putting that aside, as with most if not all ISPs, the speed quoted is the maximum theoretical speed and is affected by many many other things. I feel that the issue some people have with your post is that you are looking for solutions in an illogical order. It's like you are flinging everything on the wall and hoping something sticks. The reason why I believe that you were directed to Noob Paradise thread is because the question seems to straightforward enough to get a Yes/No answer which is what the thread is best for AND the fact that it did not seem like you had done that much research in this area prior to posting. It definitely did not help when you got extremely defensive either. You claimed to have attempted to search but to no avail, but I am guessing that you aren't asking the right questions.
