Who knows then there goes my theory so on the bent ones does your switch actually touch the inside of the dock on its way in

Nope, slightest cunt hair of space.

The inside bottom rail will always be abit tighter as it's what holds the switch in place

that's the part that touches the screen and seemingly ends up scratching it as far as I understand. No scratches on mine yet though, only smudges from the rubber pads.

It's strange though that there's only one picture by glixel which shows the dock scratching the screen and everyone is saying the dock is a problem. Yours isn't scratched mine isn't scratched and countless other people's isn't scratched maybe we are all just suffering from abit of new device ocd as if there is a problem and Nintendo rectify it then we will be eligible for new devices anyway. I mean this is make or break for Nintendo so I would assume docking and undocking has been stress tested by Nintendo. Also glixels pictures look quite deep to be caused by a dock

My thoughts exactly, I haven't seen any other pictures of scratched screens. All the docks I've seen look bent or curved inward yet they aren't scratching anything. And the pic I did see with those scratches are more like gouges, I can't see how the dock would cause that.

the worst I've had are little smudges from the bottom rubber pads on the rails that presumable hold everything tight. They easily buff off.

I don't understand how people are scratching their screen, are their docks slightly busted where both sides of the dock kinda squished in or are they just being hasty when they remove or place the unit in the dock? I mean I've not noticed a single scratch and I've taken it out and placed in the dock many times at this point.
The dock is a flimsy piece of plastic so it can get scratched at any moment. A matter of luck.

Maybe the people reporting scratches have stock in 3rd party screen protector companies LOL

Prove it with pictures please
