I think Asterix is missing from the NstDatabase.xml file. Or is there another rom of Asterix that's not de7e6767 (CRC)?

I tried 4 diff src packs, all 4 had the same CRC-32 you mentioned. (The only difference is one.... *cough w/ an ! cough* had a different modified date than the other 3.. That wouldn't be an issue though.. ) - I was unable to find a proto/beta/hack/any version with a diffent CRC32. - Hope that helps.

I have an FDS game Question... I'm using @pcm720 's latest (.3) retroarch (that fixes .fds games), There is one fds that won't work for me. Nazo no Murasamejou
(granted I applied the latest english translation patch from Rom Hacks site) So it isn't pure. - It hangs on the Flip to side B, then throws a C7... I doubt there is a fix, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask if anyone else has tried this FDS rom with success.

Thanks!

Asterix is an UNROM (2) mapper game and the rest of the info shouldn't be too hard to find on the interwebz. So by adding the rest of the info in the correct format to the xml file, cores shouldn't have a problem using the correct settings for Asterix, i guess.

If there still are some who are having issues getting CPS2 games running, here is a little guide that I hope helps.

Here's what I did to get it working. I'm using Marvel Vs. Capcom as example. Make sure that you have the correct rom. Apparently you need the rom specifically for FB Alpha, not the MAME one (which I had).
  1. Started with a clean install (uninstalled hakchi, flashed original kernel)
  2. downloaded clean hakchi 2.12
  3. I downloaded and installed @pcm720's retroarch mods (including both FBA modules)
  4. Added mvsc.zip (picked mvc.01 when it says to pick a file)
  5. copied the mvsc.zip rom to CLV-U-TETPG folder (yours may be different. you can see the the name of the folder at the top of the hakchi interface when you have the game selected )
  6. I deleted mvc.01 from CLV-U-TETPG folder
  7. edited the command-line arguments like so:
/bin/cps2 /usr/share/games/nes/kachikachi/CLV-U-TETPG/mvsc.zip (*MAKE SURE that there is a space in between the "/cps2" and "/user". I forgot that and my games wouldn't load)
  8. synced and VIOLA!
I hope this helps anyone who has been having trouble! FYI, if you include both of @pcm720 's FB modules, you can run other games such as TMNT Arcade and TMNT Turtles in Time!

@sprazzi At the bottom of the first post by Cluster there is a light gray bar you have to click on to expand and show his FAQ. Give it a shot. I didn't notice at first either.

I keep having my console reset on me at random, any time I play anything that isn't a Nintendo game.

I have about 120 NES games installed perfectly. When I updated to hakchi 2.12 and added about thirty SNES and thirty Sega Genesis games is when the problem started.

My games are all split into folders. Originally, I had one SNES, one Genesis and one GBC folder, along with sorting all 190 NES ROMs I had at the time into folders.

Now I have far fewer games all around, and it's still doing the same thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Question for anyone. Does the box art made by someone like HyperSpin or the like make THAT much of a difference in space issues vs. just using the Google feature?

One question I still have after reading this and the FAQ on page 1...it looks like there are multiple ways to handle subsequent syncs or new versions of mods. I am still not clear on how to ensure I uninstall things properly so that you don't leave some files on the NESCE without a way to get them off. I've also read conflicting comments here on whether that really can happen. Any video that talks through the right way to move from different mods to another or resync things multiple times? I'm happy to take this conversation to PM with one of the experienced members so as not to sidetrack other conversations in the thread.

Any guidance or advice on this? This has been tough to understand from reading through various opinions in the thread. Any clear advice or links would be appreciated.
