Hi guys I have a softmodded 3ds with custom firmware installed (luma 3ds). Now the 3ds is giving me a message to say a new update is available. How do I block this? or if I cannot how can I update the console safely? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm waiting to update until the homebrew launcher is fixed. If you don't care about the homebrew launcher, go ahead and update. Luma will work fine and all of your installed cia homebrew will still work.

Thank you for your repy man, also how do I get to the menu where I can update luma and al9h?
To update the 3ds itself, just go to settings and update normally.
To update luma grab the latest arm9loaderhax.bin from here https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases
You don't need to update a9lh. If you installed a9lh in the past 6 months there are no new features. If you installed a9lh over a year ago you can update it to work without the sd card inserted.

If you already have the latest luma (ca. November 2016) just update your 3ds and it will be fine.
