Hacking Game Dumping Question

So, I'm dumping my carts right now, and I noticed that Decrypt9 (and probably Hourglass too) pulls up the "Cart ID" and "Product ID". I was wondering, would these values be useful for any purpose, or should I just ignore them?

Cart Id is the game header.
Product Id is the one displayed on the cartridge.

Neither benefit you, but get rid of the cart I'd if your gonna sell or get rid of the game

The reason you get rid of the header is because if 2 people are online with the same header, they get banned.

But don't worry about this unless your dumping to .3ds

Depends on what your dumping it as.

If its a .3ds, then yes it gets retained.
If its a .CIA or .3dz, then no it dosent

So, if I dump first as a .3ds, then use 3dsconv to convert to .cia, does the game header still get retained?

No, cias don't have headers. That's why they're a smaller file size.

.3DS files are for flash carts and emulators, Cia is for CFW 3DS systems

I always use cia since i don't have flash cart and my pc cannot use the only emulator available, probably cause of the bad intel intergrated GPU i hate so much... Wish i had new pc by now.

Even with the latest GPU, Citra is still going to be derpy, so CIAs are definitely the way to go. 3DS CFW Master Race FTW .
