Homebrew ACNL removing bells

Using Marc's save editor, I accidentally gave myself unlimited bells. To me, that defeats the purpose of the game. Is there any way to get rid of all the bells fast? It would take too long to buy Gracie items or put it all on the island. I do have HxD but I'm not very familiar with it.

Use the save editor to delete the bells. :/ You added them in, you can delete them.

They want to remove the bells completely as it defeats the game's purpose.

I can change it to 0 too Just thought they wanted to get rid of the majority, not all.

Has that always been something you can do on the save editor? I've only ever seen the option to max out bells, I've never seen the option to choose a specific amount or remove them. I figured that was why the OP made the thread

If they put the bells in their inventory, they can just remove them or turn them into another item. If they put the bells in their bank (is that even possible with the editor?), then I have no clue on that.

Ahh I see what you mean now, yeah with the editor it is possible to max out the bells in your bank, but I don't think it's quite as easy to remove them. I did the same thing as the OP and maxed mine out a couple of years ago (it's some ridiculous amount like 999,999,999), now I'm also hoping that there's a way to get rid of them all, even if it is in HxD
