Hi all,

I have recently done a region change on a N3DSXL after A9LH install console using the guide. It was a Jap console and I have changed the region to European. The console was brand new and had never connected to the eshop or internet while on Japanese region firmware.

Having completed the region change, I am now on 11.2.0-35E. Unfortunately I am greeted with this error code when trying to access the eshop, or use any other features which may require eshop access. :( This may not be a massive tragedy, but I would like to complete a system transfer from my N3DS to the XL. It states in the guide that N3DS which haven't previously accessed the eshop, should be able to on their new region firmware.

Before I look at manually cloning my old system, I would just like to make sure that I have done everything possible to try and get access to eshop and complete a system transfer. If you need any further info from me, just ask and I'll try and help.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Did the system come with any pre-installed titles other than the system ones?

Thanks for that. I'll look into that later. I have already done a system format on the console since changing the region and it hasn't allowed me access to the eshop on Euro FW, but it looks like that person has reverted back to the original FW and done a system transfer...

Hi. No it didn't. If it helps, its a MH4G N3DSLL.

Hi. No it didn't. If it helps, its a MH4G N3DSLL.

It could be due to the legacy account id given to N3DS consoles at the time of manufacturing, you can read the gory details here: https://yifan.lu/2015/04/22/opening-up-cardboard-crafting-an-american-new-3ds-non-xl/

What you can do is set up NTR CFW and follow a very complex guide by @yifan_lu who successfully region changed an N3DS XL (author of the above link). Seems when you complete the process, you can use a 3ds_injector to patch the info in memory and allow the N3DS to connect to eshop.

The guide is very very complex so I would research and try to understand before you attempt anything.

Thanks. :D I did find that guide while I was doing a search around, but I wasn't sure if it was still relevant as it refers to transferring from o3DS to n3DS. I will have a look at it when I get home though. Something meaty to sink my teeth into. Should be fun. :D

Good luck! Let me know how it goes, I was considering this myself!
