Is it possible to access the 3ds filesystem on an Android device using the microsd management?

The best tool ever for android is ES File Manager. Has PLENTY of FTP, Samba, etc options for networking. and it's FREE. Pro is optional, and worth the $$.

DO NOT USE ES FILE EXPLORER

Try something like Solid Explorer or turbo client if all you want is FTP. Solid Explorer is just like ES File Explorer without all the extra shit that crept in.

Why? I've got zero issues with ES, it's an amazing all-in-one suite.

Same here, I've been using it as long as I can remember on a ton of devices, no issues, never even had that app braking charge crap show up, and as far as I can tell every non payed app has some sort of ad, if these are the only two things that site can complain about that is just sad.. I will for ever continue to use it, I even have the payed version :)

I haven't seen this pop up in the 3 months I've used the app. Maybe I just disabled it and forgot it was an issue.

Yeah, I manage my app permissions pretty closely, so I don't let anything "phone home".

Hi,

I'm having issues with ES and microSD management. I don't see a "Samba" option. I tried LAN too (I think I heard that Samba is a codename for LAN), but to no avail. Do you know the solution?

Thanks,

SMB (Samba strictly speaking is one implementation of SMB) is one of many protocols suitable for sharing files on a local network (and probably the leading one since Microsoft has a majority in operating systems), but far from the only one

Meanwhile the 3DS can speak either a broken implementation of SMB 2.1 (using the official Nintendo MicroSD Management server) or FTP (using one of various appropriate homebrews)

So how do I connect to that?

I'm using MSDM to INSTALL homebrew.
