So, I was wondering if it was possible to get an 11.2 old3ds NAND working as a New3ds' emunand, this is already "possible" using a 3ds NAND containing 2x-6x, but it would be of much use on the latest firmware (11.2) as system transfer would be utilisable for DSIwarehax transfers. I know that there is an issue with the keys not being loaded, but would this not be possible with an A9LH setup? Thank you.

You would have to system transfer you O3DS to your N3DS after making a backup of your EmuNAND and then restore your EmuNAND backup. Everything you could do before a9lh you'll be able to do after a9lh.

I don't think you understand my friend

@Aurora Wright Sorry to ping you but do you think this is possible?

This is not possible nor would it really be practical. emuNANDs are a copy of the sysNAND and are tethered to the system's hardware. There's a lot that can be done, but you can't really emulate an old3DS on a new3DS.
Even if it were possible, you would be hard pressed to find anyone interested in making it happen. There's no benefit to it.

basically this. Plus, it would actually fk up the n3ds emunand, as it needs extra stuff not found in the o3ds. Looking at the extra cia files here.

But what I'm saying is that it's possible when the 3ds is on 6x and below

So if we could load the 7x and 9.6 keys, could we boot an Old3ds NAND on an N3DS?

I don't think you really understand how the actual process works. Downgrading a system say a new3DS to 2.1, doesn't make it an old3ds.

I'm not saying that it does, but the software running thinks that it is running on an old3ds
Yes and no. It's also extremely unstable and easily breaks over simple things like closing the system. It's also basically patched to properly work on the new3DS.
Like I said, even if it is possible, you aren't going to find someone willing to do it.

Possible yes. However the system would be so unstable it isn't worth it. You'd most likely brick your emunand just trying to attempt anything. Either way you could cryptofix the new firm from an o3ds and it should run... Though that's not a promise at all.

How would one go about cryptofixing the firm?

I'd assume we could use the same method they use to crypto fix 2.1 on emunand. I'd say force install an o3ds firmware to your emunand. Though all updaters have checks to prevent that so you'd have to make a custom fork. Once the emunand has the o3ds firm you should just use that instead of a 2.1 emunand with the tools provided though they may also contain checks that will fail trying to do this too so may have to fork again
...
