Just as the title says above. I've already done all the heavy lifting that need to be done to transfer a modified Sudoku DSiware title with an injected Sudoku v0 + the modified savefile, transferred it to from my hacked source Old 3DS to my unhacked Target New 3DS.

I'm at the point where I have my Steel hax entry point & I've already downgraded the NFIRM on the New 3DS thanks to the DSiware NFIRM downgrade method.

Now what's the next step? Kinda at a loss here, followed the Guide to the letter 'T', but I don't know where to go from there to finish hacking the New 3DS. Do I go ahead and install a9lh now & then just proceed to setup everything as when you install a9lh like any other already hacked system? Do I further downgrade to 9.2 through the old 'SysUpdater' method THEN proceed to do the formerly asked question?

What's the next step? The guide wasn't exactly clear as to point out where to go from doing the DSiware NFIRM downgrade... It's very isolated from any other steps/procedures outside of its own purpose.

Any help would be much appreciated. :)

After checking, at the end of this page: https://3ds.guide/dsiware-downgrade
there is a link point to Homebrew Launcher Page: https://3ds.guide/homebrew-launcher-(no-browser)
with a text recommend you to use Steelhax, Like this:

Since it ask you to Continue to that page, so, just click on the link to go to that page.
Homebrew Launcher Page will point you how to set up Homebrew Launcher
Since the guide recommend Steelhax already, just skip to the end of this page.
Here, there are 2 choice:

I don't know why you think this isn't clear enough.

Thanks for the heads up. The thing that made it confusing for me is that it wasn't being direct to the next 'important' step. The 'Steelhax' entrypoint was just a repeat already mentioned in DSiware Downgrade guide. I can see what's up now. Each Guide is an 'Isolated Guide' with some that 'do' make a transition to other guides/steps, it's just that some flow better than others when you put them together.

No problem tho, the weird transition just threw me off. My suggestion would just be that the DSiware Downgrade guide doesn't hyperlink at the end of its guide to the Homebrew Launcher guide which is just a repeat of previously stated & instructed steps & just skip ahead to the 9.2.0 downgrade. It's just a matter of re-organize further the new, updated & old guides to make them flow with each other better.

Other than that, everything went well! Lots of work, but I got my friend's New 3DS XL fully downgraded thanks to using my only Hacked o3DS as the middle man to do the heavy lifting. It was quite the endeavor and learning experience, but it was well worth it. :)

Now I know that if I ever get my hands on a n3DS of my own on the latest firmware, there's still this method to fall back on if it's never patched. :P

Cheers! Very much appreciate the feedback!

The guide take you to Homebrew Launcher Page because you can use other exploit rather than Steelhax.
I use OOT3Dhax when I did DSiware Downgrade for my friend. So he give that link to make user having a choice.

I use OOT3Dhax when I did DSiware Downgrade for my friend. So he give that link to make user having a choice.

The thing is, coming from the DSiware guide it was a middle man guide that was completely unnecessary when the DSiware already had Steelhax as its central focus entrypoint because most entrypoints don't work in the later 'official' firmwares, especially cartridge based entry points are completely patched with every firmware update.

Even when Steelhax stops working post downgrade, you still don't need to look for another entrypoint. You can use browserhax post downgrade to access 'Homebrew Launcher' which you go to 'Steelhax_installer' & change the payload of your save to 9.2.0...

Adding the middle man guide without much clarification just makes things a bit confusing. There should just a be a 'note' or an 'anecdotal' that other entrypoints 'may' work in these process & point out towards a list of such, not just randomly place a 'hyperlink' without much explanation.

Beyond that, the moment you get to have arm9 access it's better to install a dedicated 'Homebrew_Launcher.cia' that updates itself & its payloads, so you don't have to go through the pesky payload save editing method that works for one firmware at a time.

Other than that, the guide is marvelously well concocted, despite some small flaws & weird blending here and there between new, updated & old guides. Mad props!

Anyhow, consider this issue solved & process 'memorized'.

Thanks for the help. :)

If you think this is unnecessory, tell @Plailect to change it. But to clarify what you said.
DSiware Downgrade doesn't have anything to do with Steelhax. What you need is DSiware on Target 3DS to Downgrade NFIRM.
Plailect only suggests Steelhax for the person who doesn't have any exploits, since it's free but need to set it up before transfer.
Here, the one he said about skipping & You can use other exploit rather than Steelhax.:

Since I already have OOT3D cart, I can just back up the save & install exploit.
No need to go to eshop to download Steel Diver: Sub Wars. So this is the reason I think he keep the guide steps this way.
