Hi everyone! Today my rednand didn't boot, I didn't do anything, not touched any setting, no nothing because I haven't played the wii u in a week but it happened. I'm well aware of this line:
If for whatever reason you want to format sysNAND to unlink NANDS, do this BEFORE you install games to your USB in RedNAND. formatting SysNAND will unlink any external drives and you'll have to reformat the USB in RedNAND, which means you'd have to reinstall all your games!
From time to time I did backup my rednand with Dimok's tool believing that if someday I decided to restore the rednand I could still access my games which are stored in my usb without having to reformat the drive. That's not the case here. I restored my rednand, it has intact every setting and apps installed in rednand internal storage when I created the image but the usb games aren't there. I doesn't nag with the format usb device but if I go to settings I have the option to format the drive to use it with the wii u (Rednand). Is there any way to retrieve them and if not is there any purpose as to use rednand in the first place because what is the purpose of backing it up and if after installing the games again I run into the same problem I had today I will have to reinstall them again and is a little tedious.
