PROPER DOWNGRADING GUIDE - 10.7 < - > 9.2

DON'T BOTHER READING THIS YET! I WILL BE REVISING IT WHEN I TRY THIS ON MY OWN!

So you want to downgrade to 9.2, great! Well, you will mostly need to follow another guide. But, when you boot into homebrew, close the 3Ds or just keep it open and remove the SD card, and remove the updates folder, and then copy the 9.2 update folder, and put your SD card back in. This way, there is no way any other upgrades would be there. Or, you know, you can just, turn off your internet after that just to be sure. For the rest of the time, follow part II on this guide: https://plailect.github.io/Guide/9.2.0-downgrade
All downloads are there too.

Yes there is, if you remove the updates folder, when you are starting homebrew, the updates folder could still be updated.
Why is all of this? This is not needed since the Plailect guide is all over GBAtemp, so why create this?

I really see no point for this, when you downgrade, it does not "update" your 3DS even if you have a update pre-downloaded.

Plus, the Pre-Downloaded update is saved on the NAND, not on the "update" folder on the SD Card

The Plailect doesn't correctly have the first step down.

What first step
They said to remove the updates folder before loading into homebrew, but while you are loading into homebrew, the updates might install when you open your update game. And on some games you can't remove your SD card.

Can you be a bit more clear? I can't understand this

If you remove the update folder, what would update if you have it removed?

You don't delete it well you are loading the homebrew or well your system is turned on. You delete the folder before setting everything up

I'm a tad bit baffled by this
but if the system (unhacked) could read from /updates to 'update' the system that would be a godsend

I just removed the work "guide" or "one" I meant the "The Piailect one"
As far im concerned Plailect's incredible guide should be stickied permanently on gbatemp's main page...
I agree, mine is entirely adding to his.

You actually can remove your SD card while using Homebrew. I think the 3DS might start running some background updates while you preform the exploit. :hateit:

Exactly. I really don't want anything to mess up. I paid for a 3DS just to mod it, partially.

When you enter Homebrew, it does not download updates while the exploit runs.
No, if you are using a game to exploit, and the exploit takes a while, (cubichax, freakyhax), the update MIGHT decide to download...
