How do you update it? Do we just use the script and follow it? I already have it installed, I just don't know how easy it is to install. I pray that it's not complicated to do so.
I dunno. I was going by what this guy said

LOL, well the error message reminded me of the screen someone got when they bricked so caught me off guard at first.

Yeah, it was my fault, I hadn't pulled the latest commit for haxchi so everything is working fine now. Shinobi runs great, just the sound is very glitchy but for a first release I'm very happy!

That doesn't..really answer my question though, or how he did it :P I didn't install Haxchi by the time 1.1.1 of the installer was released, I installed it earlier yesterday and I fear that I'm screwed for future builtbot releases

He doesn't even say how he updated it at all, so how am I supposed to update it?

Edit: Never mind, I should be on 1.7 anyways.

@ploggy I forgot to tell you, I tried out Rondo of Blood again and still DSI exception. :P
Since I know the bin/cue are not the problem anymore, I will redownload the BIOS, if that still doesn't work, then I'll guess I'll go for a clean RetroArch installation (wiping the retroarch/ folder and redownload it again),

have they made any update on DS emulation, or will that take the same amount of work as the n64/ps1 cores?

It'll take time, as far as I know, DS doesn't need a PPC dynarec core like Dreamcast, PSP, PS1, etc, but I imagine it'll take time. DS emulation is kinda finicky on non-ARM and non-x86 platforms.

I believe the following cores need a specific dynarec built for PowerPC architecture to work on the Wii U:
  • Nintendo 64
  • PlayStation
  • Dreamcast
  • PSP
  • DS
I might be wrong, but I think that's the reason why we haven't seen any of those cores in Nintendo RA builds, the lack of PPC dynarec.

What!? thats weird. I thought for sure it would work. I dont know what to tell you mate. If you still have problems after a full clean install of retroarch I can share my setup. :)

By the way, if I turn on the sync audio I get horrible lag and low framerate for FCEUMM but if I disable it I get super fast music and nice frame rate, how do I fix that?

That's..weird, very weird. Have you disabled vysnc, but kept audio sync on? That can alleviate that as far as I know. Failing that, try the QuickNES core. These things will take a bit of time to resolve.

Yes I tried, If disable the vysnc it gets SUPER MEGA FAST xD but if I enable the sound sync it gets laggy again :(

EDIT: Trying QuickNES now

Some cores still have bugs, that's normal given its state, I don't know what to suggest other than waiting it out >.>

By the way, why the colors on VC Wii U looks soo dark? emulation for that same game is horrible (I'm trying SMB3)

I guess because Nintendo doesn't want problems with flashy/colorful games.
Mainly to avoid seizures I believe.

Because Nintendo's emulators by and large, hardly focus on accuracy and more on getting games to work. NERD and M2 actually put effort in their emulators (NDS and GBA respectively). Unofficial emulators are almost always better, but like I said, try an older build of the NES cores if you can.

Which is weird since the Wii iterations never looked that bad.

Did you use PAL roms? I had this issue with PAL running too fast.
