Can a mod please close this thread? It's NOT noob-friendly at all, it's very vague, and doesn't even have all the tools promised(no Windows tool for finding Wii U IP address)

Wth? the script supplies you with an app to get your wiiu IP address. . .

You just need to click "n" when it asks you if you know your wiiu IP address and it'll literally download the IP scanner app for you. . .

Use FTPiiU, this homebrew will show you your wiiu ip adress.

Could you add the option to make the Wii U compatible with USA, EUR and JAP releases?
Making it completely all regions with the 119 seems a bit excessive for me, a 7 might do for covering the most usual releases.

Jesus Christ... Other very simple ways to get your Wii U IP:

1) Check the device list section of your router.
2) Stop using DHCP like a newb and specify an IP in your Wii U network configuration.

This is as simple as it gets. You obviously have no experience with python. You should be thanking @vikdu31 for taking the time to write the script to make it simple for people.

Edit: make sure you also launch your CFWBOOTER via homebrew launcher too before trying to play games. I also had to do this for some of my out of region games.

It is permanent. The only time you would need to run CFWbooter is if you installed a game with a fake ticket and have to use sig patches to play it. You don't need to run it if you install a game that's available as a disc.

This makes the region check pass, but your system is still its original region, so out-of-region games might not have your region's files included. Problems that you'll encounter are mostly the same as running out-of-region games in loadiine, so take a look at the loadiine compatibility list.

i am still getting error 157-1104 not your region error

i used fw.img found in ISO site
fw.img (contains sysnand patch + wupserver by fix94)

after cfwbooter loaded, it took me back to the wii home screen
on pc i opened regionhax_installer_v1.0
i went through all the prompts
the last screen flashed for 1sec and dissapeared.
created on 2 new files in folder in pc:
-Your_Wii_U_IP
-wupclient (compiled python file)

i rebooted wiiu
game still does not load out of region games (i have 4 installed)
: lego star wars, sports connection, pacman ghost, funky barn <-----all EUR games

Help.

all looked ok the installer quit i restarted the wii u installed taiko and it says i cant use software from other regions ? any idea ? using the fw image that cam with cfw booter ?

If the fw.img is for rednand and you have rednand then it worked only on rednand. You need to use a fw.img that doesnt boot on rednand. If you do not have a rednand, maybe you had connexion error (wrong IP/VPN blocking connexion).

how do I get fw.img and CFW Booter. You're VERY vague in your steps. Not "noob friendly" at all

It is not allowed to post fw.img on this website, you can find one on other websites.. The tool is easy to use. It will download a software if you don't know your IP and tell you where to look.

I could do that but it doesnt change so much anything, if you relly want, you can change line

Yup! DLC and eShop games require CFW at any moment. You can install "titles" like brazilian method from any region without cfw.

When the script is done, you should have sys_prod.xml.bak (original) and sys_prod.xml (modified)

If you have that flash and close, it means wupclient could not connect to your wii u.(wrong IP/VPN blocking connexion)
As long as you don't see sys_prod.xml.bak and sys_prod.xml, it means that it didn't work.
