Gaming Has anyone gotten banned from playing Pokemon Moon online?

Everyone is gonna hate me for saying this..... but I'm sorta glad this ban-wave happened. I haven't seen the community here work together so hard to solve a 3DS problem in a long time. Thanks to everyone taking risks for the betterment of the community!

Maybe the friend code isn't same file as a friend save.
Just because my friends are still there, doesn't mean they'll be able to find me online, cause my friend code theoretically should have changed?

But that's what we don't know yet; did your FC change?

I injected a banned Friend_code_B into an unbanned unit (because my unbanned unit is expendable), and it got banned. (proves that friend_code_B is the problem)
Reinjecting the unbanned Friend_code_B unbanned it. (no surprises there)

Transfer is across O3DSXL US and N3DSLL JP

So now transferring the unbanned friendcode to the originally banned unit, and its unbanned (the 002-0102 code gone)

However, can't access eshop (022-2812).
(edit: after accessing eshop, funny enough, I can still access online services)

how do you get rid of 022-2812?

This is weird. If it's unbanning, but not deleting your friends, then I don't get it. That file is just there to detect bans? This is so weird to me.

Can confirm I still have my original friends too

If its generating a new A file, then could we inject a Dummy A file thats blank, delete the B file, and see what happens there? IN theory, it can't fall back.

They didn't. Just the online play ban.

If i played pokemon sun & moon on a n3ds (with wifi on obviously) but i didn't connect to any online service in-game (like trade, wonder trade, play vs another player etc) will i get banned? (im not at home so i can't check)

It's always good to have more data.

Then, i could do the following with my Banned emuNAND;

1. Delete de LocalFriendCode thing
2. reboot
3. see if it boots
4. if it does, check friends list
5. if it loads, it worked?

across 2 units,
friended each other locally,
and our Friend Code on screens are different. (not sure if this was my original friend codes on screen..)

You shouldn't be banned, and other games are fine.

Not everyone, but the majority of people have been banned. However, there are some people ( like me) who are feared to be banned "in a nearly future".

We have no idea. For all we know it could be MAC address/serial number and then verified server-side.
