After I imported the seed, launching through FBI loads a black screen.

Try it without the seed (I don't know how to remove it, but yeah).

Well, I didn't know how to get rid of the seed so I thought I would try redownloading the game first. I guess I could ask in the FBI thread.

No. The preloaded game comes with a timer that is installed before the game. So even uninstalling the game doesn't remove the timer.

still won't work

Well, reinstalling didn't help ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Doesn't matter too much anyways. I'm starting to think it might just be the funky region change I did. I think some things got screwed up when I did it.

My partner will just have to wait to play
