you should at least switch to luma instead of rxtools.. you dont have to install a9lh if you dont want it.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

you wont need to do anything special, really.. this is the guide to switch to luma:
Steps for Menuhax users:

1. Put your 3DS SD card into your computer
2. Open the Luma3DS zip file you downloaded above
3. Extract the luma folder to the root of the SD
4. Extract the arm9loaderhax.bin file to the root of the SD
5. In the Luma3DS zip, go into the "menuhax" folder and drag and drop the boot.3dsx file to the root of your SD, replacing any that exists.

Now when you turn on your 3DS, it will automatically boot straight into Luma3DS, considering you have menuhax installed already.

Yeah always make sure it's safe to update before you do it and I'll always try to report as soon as I can if it works or not

But definitely Luma is worth a try

Rxtools is outdated right? Obsolete? Nobody is updating or maintaining Rxtools if I'm not mistaken.
correct but there are plenty of noobie
People who are not very tech-savvy at all and we're lucky enough to even install rxtools and they're afraid of switching or updating do anything else
That's why I don't like forcing anything on to people because I understand that concept and instead try to point them in the right direction and not force what I use on to them

no because you already have an emunand created with rxtools luma will use it once you have the proper Luma files on your SD card

@BADDINOROX99: A9LH is safest than ever. It's recomended for newbies. I hope you'll be there when hordes of people complaining RXTools doesn't work anymore.

@darkblitz I am only suggesting this since using rxtools *might* be dangerous to continue using. really, spend the few minutes it will take you to switch to luma and carry on as you will.
I will suggest installing a9lh since you wont need emunand anymore, and it grants access to much more stuff.

@BADDINOROX99 i understand, i really do, but there is no point in not telling them to switch to a much safer alternative. telling them to stay with rxtools might lead them to a brick, so i just dont see the point.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

so i dont have to insall it, i have only to moove the files on my sd card?
just follow this page:

no it's not a lot of the terms used in that guide most new users have no idea what they mean even if it says it on the guide sometimes they miss small things like that and mess up bad I recommend menuhax+luma to all new users once they get the hang of how to use that properly then they should move on once they're confident enough

Stop doubletriple-posting.

Look here: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki
It starts answering questions. Then the guide states:
"The benefits of arm9loaderhax over other Custom Firmware launch methods are numerous, and as such it is recommended to use this guide over any other that relies on outdated software (such as menuhax or rxTools)."

And that guide is a collaborative work between some of the most knowledgeable people in the scene. They know what they do.
