On my cfw new 3ds with luma the game will crash at the ranch and at the hub.I cant even start to play this game because of the crashing and its very frustrating. It will tell me the game had a unexpected error and needs to restart.I have tried different sd cards, different regions and have even tried to repair it from the eshop but it still refuses to not crash.Hope someone can help because this is very stressful and frusterating. Thanks

Hi I'm a friend of the OP. I helped him set up a9lh on his 3ds. He has tried even downloading the game straight from the eshop after installing the ticket via ciangel. It seems to crash evend though it's a eshop version. So we know that it is not a bad dump. It still crashes. It always seems to happen on a loading screen. At this point do you think it could be a bug in the game?

Edit: he's now saying that zelda a link between worlds is crashing too.

Try turning off L2 + Clock in Luma Settings. It breaks some games.

If multiple games are crashing, possibly SD card failure? Otherwise, maybe try using a CIA instead of straight from eShop/Freeshop just to test all bases.

He'll definitely lose all is Mods, such as A9LH/Luma. But they might fix it.
Would shadownand increase the chances of Nintendo overlooking the fact his system is modded? Since it boots without the SD card in.
I feel bad for him as he bought this 3ds literally last Saturday and the crashing started as soon as he played his first game. We were on TeamViewer setting up a9lh and everything

I doubt it's the 3DS. SD card may be faulty, especially since it happens during loading. Try a different SD card.

He's tried 4 different ones. With various cluster sizes
Only thing we haven't tried is reverting back to pre a9lh and redoing the entire process

Link between worlds crashes for him shortly after starting up the new game file while walking around the map

Pretty sure if it was a 3DS hardware issue , the 3DS wouldn't function at all , should probably try installing a different backup , and if that didn't work just restore a previous sysnand backup and try again.

I bet they might just replace the system altogether, they've done it before. I don't know how they would know, but then again I don't work at Nintendo.

nah, it can definitely have hardware failures while still being able to boot up. saw it happen with some dude on reddit

anyway if OP tried various SDs then it's most likely the 3DS :/ if only you could use the same SD on another 3DS without formatting...

Did he try a reformat--including the SD card--and just putting fresh, new downloaded files (Luma, etc) on the SD card? Otherwise, is it it possible he somehow ended up with a frankenfirmware?

Sysdowgrader did crash once when he downgrade to 9.2. But we relaunch it and redid the downgrade and it completed the second time. Would th as the still cause a franken firmware? If so how to fix
