Homebrew Deleted my game

Sooo... I read the warnings and everything and still decided to hack my game WITHOUT having a backup. I get it, I'm an idiot.

Is there any way I can get back my old ACNL village and characters etc? I still have the town editor open from my old town, will this help?

If you have the editor open and nothing has been changed, you can save that file and it might work. If that doesn't work and you don't have a backup, I don't think there's anything you can do.

If you can save in the editor with you old town and use it you should be fine. Does your real game have your old save or the hacked one on it?

The editor can change the secure value so that old save file can be used with new ones

Extract the new acnl save
get the secure value
Open the old save
Input the secure value
Import the old save.

It is somewhat unstable though
