So this question is for anyone who has a New 3DS, and i am curious to know. With the New 3DS, it has a new function to improve 3D visual stability. According to the source, it takes advantage of the inner camera (Selfie cam) to track your head and eyes positioning to allow user to keep the visual represntation of 3D from all angle prespectives at all times.

I just wanna know, from your personal experience, has the new 3DS improved th 3D quality at all compared to before? Or maybe tell in your own opinion which 3DS system does the job best. :yay3ds:

The tracking is not perfect but it is great when it works, If you wear glasses it can glitch sometimes for a second and get back. The ghosting seems to be less as well but thats more because of the IPS screen but the tracking helps.

btw, related question can't a person get blind (or at least irritate the eyes) with an infrared light shining to the eyes?

Not really. It's just a low lighted infrared LED. It's too low to even get a flash effect, like if you get a laser dot in your eye.

It's a decent enhancement and cuts down on a lot of the ghostly images you used to see when the system wasn't perfectly in that 3D sweet spot, making it a lot easier to concentrate. If you have the choice between an N3DS and an original model, I'd go with the New version. The 3D is better, it has better download speed, the analogue nub is surprisingly effective once you get used to it (I'd prefer a full analogue stick for comfort but it's hardly necessary) and of course you gain access to a few decent games as well like Xenoblade, the SNES library, Binding of Isaac, etc.

With the n3ds being only $150 right now, I might buy it. However, there are a few issues:
This doesn't exist for the normal size n3ds, making it a deal breaker.
The NX is about to come out, and there's no reason to buy a hardware revision at this point when I have a perfectly working o3ds.

People who have used it after using the the O3DS always say it it's a big difference. And some of the ones that don't like the 3D say it makes the it actually usable.

Errr, it's not even comparable. You can't move when using the old 3DS's effect. The new 3DS provides 3D for almost all viewing angles. Though I don't exactly fling my 3DS to the side when I play it, it's a huge difference and gets rid of the "reflective scanlines" that were on the old 3DS family's 3D. Everything looks uniform.

It's not perfect, but it is far far better than the o3DS 3D effect. I never ever used the o3DS one because it was so finnicky. But since i got my N3DS i use it a bit.

As for you guys who are having ghosting problems here's two tips. 1. You don't have to put the 3D to maximum. 2. You can calibrate the super stable 3D in the settings.

It makes 3d usable when you are in a moving vehicle, and the size of the smaller one is great. It is big enough to play games, but not so big that my hands will get tired from holding it up after a long period of time (this would happen to me when I would borrow one of my friends n3ds xl).

Tried all that still get ghosting at half, before I could use default setting at max with no ghosting
