I've tried to do a system update on my n3ds and i was given and error. When i rebooted and went back into emunand the EMU was gone i went back to plailect's guide and restarted on step 18 ( didnt go back further out of fear of losing my original 3ds data) even after using tiny format it still wont go back to 9.2 emu. What can i do to get it back to emu while keeping all my original 3ds data?

If you don't have a emunand anymore, you can't recover the data. Try different cfws and see if they boot into emunand, i suggest reinand as it is very easy to set up, just drag and drop the latest release. If you can't boot into emunand, just make a new emunand, your data from your old emunand is unrecoverable

ah sorry i was in a bit of a rush doing several things at once. My friend code is 3625-8453-9541

there's a few dollars that's in my eshop account that i planned to use to renew pokemon bank, I wasnt sure if there was a way to get a perm version so i just left the money there just in case

By "the EMU was gone", do you mean it no longer says "Emu" in system settings? That could happen if you have a partial system update (frankenfirmware). Can you verify that you're actually not able to get into EmuNAND? (e.g. set a different theme on SysNAND)

yes i've tried going into sysnand and starting back from the step where you use tinyformat it all started after i tried to update emunand and it said "error" ever since the emu has been gone
