do you know of any info regarding the values of anything in the hex editor for this?
I'm actually doing a lot of fooling around with hex editing and save editing.
If you hit me up on discord, I will be willing to share all the knowledge I can on anything I know.
I may even be willing to create colour-coding images.
Not to mention that I need to update this at some point.

I have a discord but I'm not entirely sure how it works. xD I also don't have a mic or a comfortable place to talk so actual talking will be a no-go.

I don't even talk on Discord myself. I use it to type messages.
Like Facebook messenger, but without the FBA looking over my shoulder getting ready to flag me for something.

I can pm you an updated version of the id list I keep if you want. It should have everything including my DLCs, and even accessories.

@KunoichiZ
Did you get my PM?
I will be busy today, but I can help with your FEFTwiddler Hex Editor guide tonight at the earliest.
I could also use your help with some things, too.
Yeah I did. I'm sorry I had it on my mind to reply to it but then got busy with something else and completely forgot about it.

So, been having fun doing stuff in FEFTwiddler, aaaaand I think I may have found the unit cap on fates, 137 is definitely too much, but I'd assume the game will start failing to load at 126/127 characters.
...Have fun not crashing the game, I guess?

...on the other hand, I could just be incredibly unlucky, and what i've done with one or more of the characters has just screwed things up, I dunno.

Edit: NOPE, nevermind, 137+ seems possible, how exciting!

Do you mean via importing characters?
What exactly are you editing?

Yeah, by importing characters.
I've no idea what I'd done in particular to get the game to crash, a bit of everything, really.

I thought the unit cap was 255?

I know I'm not nearly that far, but I believe I'm approaching that number. I noticed that once you pass the in game cap (by importing characters) the game doesn't seem to have any problems recruiting extras. Not that I've seen, at least.

Hello, I am new here... Question regarding dumping extra data. JK's Save Manager Exports the Extra Data, however it comes out as a .bak file, and not as all the actual files within the Extra Data. I would really appreciate if someone can help me with this problem, If it is of use I am using the .3dsx Homebrew version. Not sure if that affects anything but yea... Thanks for any help you may provide, hope I can enjoy this forum and help others too. :)

I'm pretty certain that the .bak files are just what the extdata uses.

Either way, they're still open-able as normal.

Edit: ...oh hold on, i may have misunderstood, uh... are you using the most recent version?
