So Im trying to use JK Save manager to extract the file but when I pick mhx it freezes with a black screen. I try all my other games that I have saved on my SD card (Metal Gear Solid, Mh4u, PKMN) and I get to that menu no problem, can anyone help out as to why it wont let me access the mhx files.
I think some 50 pages back or something, someone mentioned holding L + R when booting up MHX or Gen with JK Save Manager, and you can find it and export it from there. Maybe give that a try?

Importing the palicos using the editor and loading into the game and selecting them to one of mine is crashing the game. I have tried adding them to new slot and overwriting the previous one i got. Currently i finished 2 star village quest 100% and max palico level can be is 10. Is that the reason why i can't load the palicos thats been provided here to import?
Thank you

In Lord Blade's Guide he mentions getting JKSM. In JKSM's post there is both JKSM_3DSX.zip and MHGSV.zip.
do I extract them both or just the JKSM for now?

Nah I mean it goes black when I use Jk save manager to access the files, I don't even get to go through em

Anyone available to help me make a kitty cat of my liking? ;A; I keep getting invalid or DLC Palico whenever I check the cat I made :<

Ok so I got to Homebrew Launcher via OoThax (woohoo) but I cannot see the Save Editor anywhere. Why is this? Can anyone verify if this setup for the SD card is correct? (I also do not have physical copy of MHGen. I was informed that I could do this with a digital copy as well)

Move JKSV and MGHSV into the folder named 3ds

Ok so that fixed that... but when I run JKSM it just shows a red screen. Why is this happening? I'm selecting MH Gen as my target. I also ran MGHSV and exported some data. Feeling just a bit lost. Sorry.

Haven't used JKSM.
I used MHGSV for mine :
> Get to Homebrew Menu
> Select MHGSV from the menu
> Press A to export
> it should say "Copying /system... Done!"
> Next it should say "Copying /system_backup... Done!"
> Press Start
> Once you're in your Homebrew Launcher, press start, then press X to go back to your home screen.
> Turn off 3DS/N3DS/whatever
> Take out SD Card.
> Put SD Card in Card Reader
> Access SD Card via computer
> There should be a folder named "MHG" or something there with the filename : system and system_backup

the file named - system in that folder is your savefile.
Make a backup of both system and system_backup before toying around with it using the save editor.

I will not be held responsible for corrupt data, missing data, lost data, or anything that can or will happen to your save data/character.
you know the risks, you've been warned, and have been told to make backups, numerous times. if your data goes bye bye when toying with it, its not my fault :v

Make sure you have a backup of your "CLEAN" save.
Put your "DIRTY"/"EDITED" save back into the MHG folder on your SD Card
Put SD Card back into DS
Turn on DS
Get into Homebrew
Select MHGSV
Press Y to IMPORT your edited save file
Wait for confirmation
Press start to exit
Press start then X to exit Homebrew
Run Game.
Pray to Gods and Goddesses that your game doesn't crash when you load your save.

If it does crash, re-copy your backup into the MHG Folder on your SD Card and do the import process again.

the 'color codes' are hexadecimal representations of the levels of red, green, blue, and alpha (transparency, but in this case affects something else). for example, FF0000FF will be red, 00FF00FF will be green, 0000FFFF will be blue and combinations will make other colors, like FF00FFFF for purple and FF8800FF for orange.

Okey i will try it :) TY :)))

All of it worked! So now I have a game-related question.
I made sure to select "Make all Palico Armor craftable" option and, surely enough, all armor can be crafted but for some reason all of it is greyed out even though I have 99 of the needed items. Why is this?
