Basically I've been out of the game 3/4 years and I've decided to get my Wii going!

I've had a little bit of google but basically just want some help if possible please!

I'm wondering a few things atm;

Whats the best usb loader?
Is WBFS format still the best to load games etc?

Also is anything on the wii still getting updated etc?

I'm still on 4.1 (bootmii'd)

Cool any help is appreciate sorry if this isn't in the right place (I think it is)
Links to anything cool, including games are appreciated

Just seen the post below, thanks! Haven't replied because I don't want to double post.

Will post later see whats gwanin

You can get USBLoader GX, OpenWiiFlow, or CFG Usb Loader, the trhee offer the same thing.

Nop, go FAT32.

Also is anything on the wii still getting updated etc?
No, nothing its being updated anymore.

I'm still on 4.1 (bootmii'd)
You can install the IOS Update pack, google its yoru friends, and you will be on 4.3 softmod without issues.

configurable usb loader is recommended on wbfs
usb loader gx is shit it doesnt work on my usb
Something not working on your end, and working on everyone ends, doe snot make the program shitty, it makes probably the user shitty.

WBFS are AWFULL, and make 0 sense to have 1 nowdays, a fat32 partition uses wbfs converted games, and there are SEVERAL iso managers that convert the game to wbfs, Wii Backup Manger beeing one of them, f the game is bigger then 4gb, it automatically split the files, USBloaderGX, CFG Usb Loader, Wiiflow and Open Wiiflow works with splitted WBFS files.

Take your Usb, format it fat32, and use WiiBackup Manager to put the games in, fat32 its your better option, you cna also manually add or remove the games, sicne u can see the folder as a normal drive, instead of using plugin to actually see a WBFS partition.

1.wbfs still works for me no problem on cfg 2.how the hell can i extract isos on FAT32
Wii BackUp Manager. ----------> http://www.wiibackupmanager.co.uk/downloads.html

Also, reading your signature makes me understand that you are WAY too outdated on the Wii Scene.
1. install as boot2
If Possible. later revisions of the console did not let the user install Bootmii as boot2, guessing that "install as boot2" you are referring to Bootmii.
2.if you can install priiloader as boot2
Again, only if possible.Choose Priiloader OR BootMii.
3.dont install themes (it can easily brick your wii)
Trusted sources are OK.
4.dont install wads that made by yourself ( unless you are a pro wadder)
Everyone needs to start somewhere don't they?
5.install wainkokos cios to get your wii better
"Waninkokos" its pretty outdated.. d2x cios were released by davebaol, xabby666 and Xflak.
6.never install things on your wii thats from youtube
True.
7.never ever upgrade your wii after its hacked (4.0 to 4.3 etc)
After hacking a Wii, updating can be done, in case home-brew channel disappear, its easy to reinstall the CIOS again.
8.play games only from your reglion
What? a Softmoded Wii/vWii can play ANY region games... ANY.
9.never make stupid mistakes
......

wbfs its not "Bad", but its pretty god damn outdated, meaning that only wii games cna be on the partition, and thats it, however, on a fat32 partition, you can instlal apps, files, game,s music, videos, movies, the wii game,s homebrew and what more.

You can also at least attempt to repair a FAT32 partition. :P

2.FAT 32
3. If you mean system updates, the wiis final system menu update was about 4 years ago (4.3)

my 2tb usb external harddrive is in ntfs format while my games are formatted in iso, and all i can say is that it sucks, after realizing that it already took almost half of my harddrive with a score of 93 games. So i highly recommend you to go and format your usb hdd to Fat32 and format your games into wbfs cuz that way youll save more space and run gamecube isos and emulators. you can also run usb loader gx just fine with that setup but i dont know about cfg though cuz i keep having this " memory overlap error" , the game still works, its just that itll give you that error before it loads.
