Hacking [Question] 5.5x sploit

so im on 5.5.1 and i still haven't done anything to my wii u yet because im confused as to whether im going to need wifi on my pc because i currently only have Ethernet on my custom pc but i do have wifi on the modem but i do not know how to mess around with that too much except change the password and name i do have a memory card
