So im using usb loader gx 3.0 1260 and using ios 249 and tried 250 also and when i use my 16gb sandisk flash it works but i am trying to use a usb 3.0 card reader with a 64gb micro sd but freezes at the usb initialize screen. The anker 3.0 card reader says its completely backwards to usb 2.0 and reads all card formats even xc. I also formatted it to fat32 with EaseUS then format to wbfs for games and nothing. What is wrong with it always freezes on usb devicescreen but not my small 16gb ones??

Flash drives are very hit-or-miss with cIOSes. An actual HDD is more reliable.
Iknow but i just have like 3 64gb micro sd cards that i actually want to use but i cannot find a way to get it to work on usb loader gx. Do you know of any usb adapters like one above that is actually compatible with wii

No, sorry.
Hey i got a compatible adapter and it works now but i have a new problem, whenever i put my games in usb through wbfs then i go to to usb loader gx the only games that work are the first 2 that i put into my drive and it will show all of the game banners but when i try to play they all go blank and restart me except for the first 2 i downloaded? I was wondering why it is i have succesfully formatted my 64gb to fat 32 with a 64kb and then format to wbfs?

If you're referring to WBFS as a partition that's expected. It's not very reliable. Blank banners are indicative of a corrupt disc image.

I would suggest using FAT32 and an actual HDD rather than flash drives.

with WBFS partition format it's usually the last game which is fine, and the old one which have issues.
Are you sure it's based on the game's install order, and not the game itself? Black banner and reboot could be indication of a bad ISO/bad dump or corrupted game. it could be a bad install, or corrupted SD card.

For better result, you should privilege FAT32 and use WiiBackupManager to put games on your device.

but i know every game i have works i tested them but for some reason i can only play the first 2 i input to my drive? there has to be a correct format to this? like could it possibly be another wbfs sector size format becuase there are other sizes all the way up to 8096 i think and ive tried 512 default?

there's no cluster size for WBFS partition format.
The sector size is a physical size and can't be changed.

Are you sure it's formated to WBFS ? you used WBFS Manager?
Try formating the SD card to FAT32 with 32k/cluster.

no im sure all my games are working becuase if i install 2 games first those 2 games will be the only ones that work and the rest will show banners and all but when i start up the game it will go blank and restart. The game will only work if i install it first. How would i check the iso?

my sd card is fat 32 with 32k. Im using wii back manager 79. I usally format my drive to fat 32 with EaseUS then open wii backup manager then usually format to wbfs with default 215 disc and transfer games through, I also have tried other ways, sometimes i will just leave in fat32 format and manually make a wbfs folder and put games directly on but i get the same problem only allowing me to play the first 2 games i put in. What else can i try?

You keep telling that "only the first added games are working" but you only refer to the games you added first, not the "first added" ones (if you follow what I mean)
I wonder why "2 games" only, not 1 or 3. why always the "first two games" are working?

Did you try to delete resident evil 0 and 1 (or format the drive), and install donkey and mario "FIRST" ?
Are they working ?
If you install RE after DK and mario, then RE is not working?

Which tool are you using to install games to the drive?

Yes RE will not work even if i install after. I always use wii backup manager to transfer my games over. Ive formatted it to fat32 with 32kb also

You can go to settings > credit. It will list the currently loaded IOS slot and provide the version and base.
you can set a different IOS Slot while in the loader and while in games. You can check that they are both using the same slot in the settings>loader settings>Loader's IOS and game's IOS.

What I find strange is that it's always 2 games which are working, not less or more.
Did you try another device ?

The SHA1 hash for RE Wii should be 2f2d1c3b0215dc0e7e4612d9579ea91693ea1ef1 and the MD5 is 6e738ceac7795b9bd14def905f7faa3c

Are you still trying to use WBFS partitions? Try it with FAT32. You don't need to tell WBM to format anything. Just point Drive 1 or Drive 2 at your FAT32 drive and the Files tab at your ISOs then tell it to copy the ISO to the drive. Just make sure you go to Options>FAT32/NTFS and set "WBFS split style" to 4GB.
