Hacking Anyone had problems with TX CR4 chips?

Has anyone had problems with newer TX CR4 XL RGH chips? I've been hearing murmurs about these chips killing consoles and all sorts of stuff. Is it just bullshit?

It's bullshit.
One little fanboy has to start one rumour about something breaking and it's forever embedded into the minds of the masses.
Remember that when the 3DS was launched that loading DS flashcards on the 3DS would result in Nintendo bricking you at a FW update?
Also bullshit.

Only thing that makes the chip kill your console is improper soldering.
Or using a shoddy cheap chip.

Unfortunately I actually don't think it's bullshit. Prominent VIP members like Keil, Coolshrimp, and WNYconsoles have come forward saying it's happened/happening. They even did POST logs in rater to try and find the problem. I can't remember if it's Oggy, or Jsinger but a team member was gonna debug the bad batch. I could post links, but the cases are easy to find if you just browse the TX forums.

I'm relatively new to TX forums, so can you tell me what I should look for? I can't find anything specific. I've always heard CR4 XL is the best chip out for most xbox models (especially Corona v6 which is what I have). I just want to have the lowest possible boot time I can get on my system.

Would it be possible to get CR4 similar boot times using something like a ace v2.or matrix? The modder in my area is claiming he can but I don't know if it's bullshit or not.

This is a good thread to read. As far as options, Team X360 makes decent stuff too. Most of it is based on TX designs anyways. The Ace chip is similar to a DGX/RGX, and their new Mega chip is based on the CR4. The Ace is the only one I've used personally, and it's decent out of the box(timing file for corona is preprogrammed.) You can speed it up/tweak it for better boot times with timing files/SMC files from the Russian 15432, who has his own section over at X360 forums. I'd ask the guy who is claiming he can mod your console a few questions though if I were in your shoes. Just make sure he knows what he's doing.
