Nintendog is special.
Don't use CtrBootManager etc., use "menuhax" folder's boot.3dsx to directly boot instead.

Then install NTR CFW and its language plugin, then create necessary files/folders for Nintendog.
I don't know whether Enable region/language emulation works, but NTR has been tested worked.

Why install NTR on top just for this if he is already using Luma? @Temptress Cerise already answered.
Enable region//language emulation on the Luma3DS settings.
Link for more details on this: https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/wiki/Options-and-usage

Be sure to follow the instructions on there correctly for setting it up, such as creating the locales folder inside the luma folder, and so on and so forth.

Then report back.

Absolutely zero need for NTR as luma's region/language emulation does exactly the same thing.

Pretty sure it's crashing because maybe you have overclock? It's in the luma config. Unless you have o3ds then I don't know

Well then, if you correctly configured the language emulation feature (writing "USA EN" to the file) and are sure the higher clock speed is not enabled, then: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If it's a cart version, try converting it to CIA and installing it. If it's a CIA, try installing a EUR version? :)

Were you able to fix the issue?

I am also trying to play nintendogs on a different region console and it keeps crashing in the same place.

I am using a Japanese 3ds with A9LH + Luma3ds.

I have performed the region emulation but it still crashes for some reason.
