I'm trying to run SNES VC games I got from ye olde iso site, but they don't work on my N3DS. When I launch a game the VC screen will come up, but it will then kick me back to the home menu with an error, and then reboot. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong, because VC games for other platforms (GB, GBA, NES, PCE...) work flawlessly.

I'm running Luma3DS CFW on an N3DSLL.

The ones that give me the error are all injected games, but they're reported working for others. I've tried maybe a dozen of these. I've also tried a retail version of F-Zero, and that just gives me an infinite loading screen.

This is very strange... I don't know what could be causing this in this case. You could download freeShop and the titlekey file, it has some SNES vc's in it if I remember correctly and as they are downloaded form ninty's servers they should always work. If that doesn't work it has something to do with your setup, in which case I really wouldn't know what could cause this.

Well, huh. I did as you suggested and installed freeShop, but it turns out I can't even install any SNES VCs from there. I can queue the download, but it will fail. Other titles download, install and run perfectly fine.

I booted into my EmuNAND because it's actually updated, and that allows me to install the SNES VCs from freeShop. However, they still behave as described in the OP on run, i.e. error + forced reboot.

I've solved my problem. By all appearances, the SNES VCs did not work because I was using a Japanese firmware (it's a Japanese console after all). I did a region change of my EmuNAND to a USA firmware, and now the VCs work.
