I don't see why not, but you'll need a DS flashcart to install the MSET exploit afterward.

Ok this is the part I don't understand how to go around. Updating from a cartridge doesn't install a web browser. The console will be able to launch homebrew, but browser based stuff is not possible. If I update that console with this cartridge, will I be able to update it with homebrew, or do I need to install MSET for this?

you would need to use MSET

This game really is a goldmine when you think about it: use it to update an ancient console to 4.3, use some unblocked DS cart to install MSET to go to 9.2, then use this same game to downgrade to get A9LH or to setup emuNAND & MenuHax easily.
Someone might even write a small ROP payload to get higher privileges and install ROP directly from here. That'd be an even better solution.

Just because it launches *hax doesn't mean that's all it can do, seeing that it's intended to launch in 4.3 you can get a lot of stuff from here, like NAND backups and such.

You would require using a DS flashcart to install the MSET exploit, like I said. You'd boot RxTools via MSET to update using its Dev/Pasta mode to 9.2.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. So basically if people who are on 11.0 sysnand (w/o A9LH) want CFW to play games they are better off buying a Sky3DS and playing games with that -or buying the games directly, but well, yeah...-, while holding onto a copy of this game in case someone finds a kernel hax that could allow them to create something like an EmunNAND and access it via menuhax or even this exploit. Correct?

(For the ones who haven't noticed I am trying to clear what doors this new exploit opens for the near future for people stuck with this FW)

I'm good having my systems on A9LH, in case anyone is wondering.

Minipasta doesn't work on anything above 9.4. On 11.0, you can still run userland homebrew with the Homebrew Launcher, but no legit CIAs, downgrading, or anything else that requires kernel access (due to there not being a kernel exploit yet, and even once you have one, software downgrading will still not be possible out of the box on 11.0).

Will it be possible to install menuhax through this or are there things that have to update first? Though I have to say this boots the menu incredibly fast!

Is Freakyhax capable of more than Ninjhax?
Other than being virtually unpatchable anyway

It's also useful for being a game that can update ancient consoles to 4.3 or 4.1 in Europe. Since the game's vulnerability would exist on any firmware it can run on, you could even possibly pair it with the "srv:Pm process registration" vulnerability after gaining ROP to boot into a CIA installer to update to 9.2 easier than setting up RxTools. This is all just a hypothesis, but I don't see why it couldn't work if some work was done for it.
