I'm having trouble getting Final Burn Alpha CPS1&2 games working. Neogeo works beautifully, but I get an error whenever I try to load a game under the CPS cores.

Any advice?

Do you have the correct romsets? Not just the proper Final Burn Alpha ones, but also in the proper parent/child romset? For example, if you're looking to play the US version of X-Men vs SF, you'll need the Euro set (the parent) along with the US roms (the child). Also make sure you're using the correct emulator for the games, too; SF2 is a CPS1 game whereas SSF2 is a CPS2 game, for example.

Visible horizontal screen tearing on gpsp. I'm on nightly build. Tried stable build but its still the same. How can I fixed it? Applied filter but it does not fixed it.

EDIT: This happens when I put my aspect ratio to 16:9.

Only PS1 games and it only runs somewhat okay in New 3DS.
You might get around 30 or so FPS with luck for not so demanding games.

Do cheats just not work on the Mednafen/PCE core? I've been trying to activate an infinite lives code for Rondo of Blood because I like living. Confirmed it's working in the PC standalone version of Mednafen, but through Retroarch on either PC or 3DS, I'm not getting any results. Is there just a problem with my cheats file, or have cheats been removed somehow from this core?

Here are both of my cheat files. The first one is the one that works in Mednafen, and the second is what I assume it has to be formatted as for Retroarch. (there's no freaking documentation on this that I can find, and it's different for every emulated cheat device. >->)

[bcbf8be607a68560f39d05b03237b0ea] Castlevania - Rondo of Blood
R A 1 L 0 1F008D 99 Infinite Lives

cheats = "1"
cheat0_desc = "Infinite Lives"
cheat0_code = "1F008D+99"
cheat0_enable = "true"

Been wondering about the Cheats for a while. For now, your best bet is to use Game Genie Guy to Patch your Roms. However, some work, some dont. SNES, Sega Gen/MD, some GB/GBC work.
