Her death flag is checked in my Revelation save, though. And I didn't go and get her killed before Chapter 18, either.

I'm not sure I understand the cause, but I'll fix up the code enough for the next release so that if something's wrong, you'll have the tools to correct it.

Time to go on Fire Emblem and kill some units. See you later!

@RainThunder now I'm curious, exactly how many bytes of bitflags are saved in the save data, is it all 8 bytes?
Yes, there are 8 bytes in the first flag block, which is very similar to the flag block in the GameData.bin.lz file. In the save data, there is also a second flag block that contains shield and dead flag.

Is the support log up and running? I can't seem to click on it, but all the other edits work!

Btw, thanks for doing this!

Can you use this to bring back Scarlet after she dies in revelation?
I married her and wasn't expecting her to die lol

How'd you do that? She's only alive for two chapters, and you can only go up one support level per map.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Revelation has grinding. Nevermind lol

For me, she won't stay dead. I've had her suicide 5 times now, in various areas and she resurrects every time.

That's pretty crazy.

Are you saved before chapter 18? I wonder if the game has some sort of special code for her in Revelation to keep her alive so the plot has something to do when chapter 18 rolls around. Even if you're saved after chapter 18, it's possible that the code (assuming it exists) doesn't turn off, so maybe after being revived somehow, the game's programmed to not let her die again.

I have a pre-chapter 18 classic mode save handy, actually, so I'm going to try getting her killed by gameplay and see what happens.

EDIT: Alright, so she doesn't revive, but she does say she's going to "fall back" when she gets killed in battle. She also doesn't show up (not even grayed out) in the battle prep for chapter 18. That guess I had is probably wrong.

My current focus remains fixing the dead unit-handling code and adding reviving/killing so people can clean up any messes. It'll be in the next release.

Also, anyone with Scarlet problems: Do you have the same problems with any other characters? And have any of you done tweaks to the difficulty or death mode, via either hex editor or FEFTwiddler? It's possible that the game thinks it's in Casual mode. The mode shown on the file selection screen and the mode the game looks at are actually two different values, and while FEFTwiddler writes to both, manual hex edits in the past might not have, and I don't know yet if the game makes corrections if one is set but the other isn't.

I started the save on Classic and never touched the difficulty in the save editor, only edited hair color for children.
