Hacking very frustrated with red new 3ds.....

Hey all long time no see...anyways long story short im hacking a system for a coworker cause hes a really nice guy and trusts me enough to modify his system but we have had issues first i got a partial downgrade to 9.2 where homemenuhax was saying cant detect home menu version after sysupdater went to something went wrong on the bottom screen so after using sysupdater again to update the system to 9.2 with no errors i cannot get my oot copy even with a fresh save from the latest gateway to load. it loads fine on my 9.2 system with reinand with homemenuhax but this 9.2 only with homemenuhax wont let me load the .3dsx or the oot method...very frustrated in general its been over 5 hours since we started. thanks for any help

i appreciate it i dont think the guide i use are dated the issue is with the latest gateway launcher i am unable to get into the menu to do a nand backup at this rate im just going to update the system to 10.3 and try again with sysupdater but you linked me to a version of sysupdater i couldnt find anywhere else thanks for that hopefully thats the issue

if you really insist on using gateway, you can still perform everything from that guide and finish at the downgrade part. once you're at 9.2, install themehax and boot gateway.

like i said im already at 9.2 had a partial downgrade then updated it to 9.2 it seems like its ok now so should i have downgraded? the only reason i insist is because i spent money on it and it was the easiest way for me to make a nand backup and out of every single unit i have ever hacked even ones newer than this have never had a issue booting the gateway launcher....also have 30 or so games on there id like to see played. if there is another backup method that is easier than oot loading a save then hitting nand backup i have yet to find it

Don't use Gateway, it's WAY outdated now. I agree that this guide will be way better! Just follow the guide to a T and you'll be fine. The SysUpdater he link you to is currently the best.

Use BrowserHax (you might have to do the bypass) and install MenuHax. Both are better options than OOTHax and both are free. The guide has it all

but it doesnt have an update option like every other version....i know a few months or so is enough time but its not like the entire process has changed if you are honestly telling me i can make a backup as fast as i could with that method ill just use the card for games

also browserhax doesnt work.... wont load the gateway launcher at all

emunand9/decrypt9 can backup nands. heck even OTPHelper can backup too. i say ditch gateway and just use Luma with a9lh.

Plus, decrypt,emuNand9, and OTPHelper have better comparability with your NAND's so that nothing will go wrong

this IS the most STABLE and most CURRENT. a9lh has 100% boot rate.

The guide you are following currently has couple month old code. You are bound to get a brick with such an old guide!

Good! Follow that guide to a T! Don't use those files with any other guide!

yes here's the quote from there: "This can sometimes take a few tries - if you still can't get it to work after quite a few, you can rerun the downgrade to make sure everything worked properly"

also the fucking gateway finally works so it was a system title thank you i will follow the guide in the future since i think the install instructions for auireimod which i noticed is renamed im assuming luma is what you mean are probably still the same and he just wants cfw

You do know that you can't launch gateway or any other CFW from the browser, right? You can launch the hbl? But not gw or CFW because of how Nintendo fixed the Internet browser in the new 3ds.

Why did you use sysupdater and not safesysupdater or plaisysupdater?
