Character itself has a param for how many costumes it has, without that changed it'll just wrap around load normal costume. I don't know exactly which param it is, however @thatsmash4modder does. He was able to add completely new costumes to characters

Does adjusting this file allow you to use a different voicebank for a specific costume?

Yes, it's just the model, you'd have to patch the original Bowser NUD first. I could do that, since I wanted to try vertex mods either way.
 
Anyone know how to run the nudVertex? I made a vertex that I want to test but don't know what to do on the last step.
 
is it possible to make model imports ? if not how to make simply vertex hacks ? i'm new at smash U modding
Vertexing for smash wiiu requires 3ds max. You need to run the scripts in 3ds max to import the model.nud. Check mariosonicds vertex thread for more info. Although I'm still stuck on inserting the vert.csv file and basic texture editing (keep getting errors with texconv2 as it won't extract all the files).

i've 3ds max (i used it for brawl hacks)
