Homebrew possible ARM11 kernel hack on 10.5

You're probably doing it wrong, I found it hard the first couples of times I had to do that combo too. I personnaly put my index on L & R buttons and my thumbs on Up & A, then I keep all those pressed and power the 3DS on with my little finger.

EDIT: why isn't NATIVE_FIRM hte last thing to update ? Are you using the correct build ?

IDK about that but I got everything from the newest 10.6 downgrade to the 9.2.0-20U update. I got everything and I thought it was a weird thing whem I saw that but if I can't fix this by Thursday GS said I can get a new one

Hey guys. So I got around to downgrading from 10.5 to 9.2. The process went fine and I have finally gotten to that firmware.

The issue I'm having though is with the step envolving EMUNAND9. I have tried to dump my SysNand repeatedly, but it keeps on saying that it's failed. I'm using this on a NN3DS with a 16 GB SandDisk MicroSD Card formatted at FAT32 using Windows Formatter. My SD Card has around 13 GB of it used.

I've tried formatting my SD Card nearly 3 times and I still keep on getting the same error. Is there anyway to get around this problem at all?

how many files did your updates folder have? I had 104 files (assuming you are on New 3DS US region)

If you got a frankenfirmware, just run it again.

The Update folder I got had (if I am doing this right) 126 for my New 3DS. Went where I needed to go for it.

you sure you didn't take the folder for O3DS? if so, you are SOL

I just verified. the 9.2 package I got for my O3DS has 126 files :S

OMG I could not find the file for the New 3DS or knew there would be one so I must have gotten the O3DS instead. I got it from 3dsiso. so Thursday new New 3DS here I come I guess.

Thanks for the help I finally found out that I used the O3DS Update 9.2 (126 files) instead of the N3DS Update files for 9.2 (104 files). Well if I would have known I would have been fine -.-

Going to return tomorrow to EB Games/GameStop (where I live I got both) my beloved Pokemon 20th N3DS to get the Hyrule Edition 3DS XL. they said they will do so as it was bought on Feb 27. It was sadly bricked from getting the wrong update file (for the O3DS) so now I got the file with 104 instead but IDK if I will have to update the N3DS XL to add my NNID to it then downgrade to 9.2 or should I be fine with whatever firmware it is on the Hyrule Edition 3DS XL (if not a Red 3DS XL). Let me know what to do and I will follow but I should wait till my NNID transfer or should I just dump it and get a new one to get CIA 3DS games.

to get support for more firmware versions and for the n3ds, I would need some people with a cfw to install and run the attached svchax_pagedump.cia, it will output a file named tp_<NEW or OLD>_<FW version>.bin

the output depends only on the firmware.bin used with the cfw, and only dumps on the 9.3 firmware and up are needed.

Since most CFWs uses certain NATIVE_FIRM package (9.2/9.6/10.4), I think you can not get these files except you port at least the sigpatch to other FIRM.
Eh.. Why this page dump doesn't come in HBL version, if this hax is runable from unmodified SysNAND?

Anyone had success with Smashhax for sysupdater? I havent, tried for 3 hours and fucking giving up.

I was bored so I flashed my N3DS A9LH-enabled 9.2 / 10.6 back to plain 9.2 (removed everything that was on my sysnand, including all the patches, AGB stuff and miniPasta enabled utilities).
Formatted my SD card and only had sysnand stuff (no emunand). Used an old Toshiba 4G for this test to simulate a clean 10.3.0 N3DS.

So, I updated my N3DS to 10.3.0-20U using a game (Fire Emblem Fates rom on Sky3DS). No. I didn't lose my sanity, I just wanted to see if sysupdater-10-4-382016250 could DG it back to 9.2.0-20U.
First shot, bam, it worked, no worries.

So on N3DS, sysupdater-10-4-382016250 works on 10.3, as well as 10.4 to 10.6.
For O3DS, according to somebody, it should NOT work on 10.3 so be careful!!!

If I get Hyrule Edition 3DS XL it is 9.9 still when bought or if none what firmware does a red New 3DS XL come with. Will update what I get but lmk in 9 hours if possible. Want to get my NNID back from my brick one unless I can get my games back but by CIA files. Let me know and once I get what I am aiming for (to download free 3ds games and update and still can use my OoT3Dhax on 10.6 or you know never update at all) and you will be my new best friend.
