I messed up with CHMM2 and now I get black screen whenever I try to open rxTools or to access emuNAND. My bf thinks the only way to get it working again is to format the SD card and recreate emuNAND from scratch, which means that I'll lose almost a month of ACNL progress (in which I got items that I could only recover next year).

That said, is it possible to backup my emuNAND gamesave data while on sysNAND 4.x?

try deleting these first before anything, since CHMM2 can't actually cause a real brick:

sdmc:\Nintendo 3DS\your_id1\your_id2\extdata\00000000\archive
your_id1 can be anything;if there's multiple, try opening each one to see which might be yours. archive will be two folders depending on your region.
  • USA: 000002cd and 0000008f
  • EUR: 000002ce and 00000098
  • JPN: 000002cc and 00000082

Thanks for the reply.

So, I tried to do as you said, but I got stuck. I don't know exactly what I should delete.

It's an EUR console. Here you can see the whole Nintendo 3DS tree.

under "Nintendo 3DS", you could check which one is the largest folder with the "random numbers and letters".

then open that and the folder inside of it. then open extdata, and the folder 00000000 inside of that.

delete 000002ce and 00000098.

if you delete it in any other folder you could accidentally remove menuhax from sysnand, if you happen to have that.

I'm having an issue somewhat similar, but I'd like to ask specifically what exactly deleting these folders does, for the sake of knowledge.
