This may be in the wrong section so I apologise if that's the case. I'm having trouble accessing the eShop via HANS. I'm using O3DS sysNAND 9.2.0 + NVER & Friend Module patched | rxTools emuNAND 10.3.

When I use homebrew launcher's eShop spoofer to access the eShop, it first signs in, succeeds and the minute I reach the menu the whole system freezes. There's nothing that can be done and I'm forced to reset the system. I've attempted this in both Ninjhax, Menuhax and Browserhax in case it's just a problem with hax entry, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

eShop worked just fine a few weeks earlier through HANS. I've tried deleting and re-installing the eShop spoofer + HANS itself, deleting and re-installing NVER in case there was a problem with the wrong NVER downloaded, using the latest starterpack, trying Free Multi Patcher and my favourite, restoring the sysNAND to stock and installing only NVER.

None of the above has worked. No matter what I try, I can't seem to get into the eShop. It always freezes when I reach the menu.

The conditions I need are to access the eShop through sysNAND, not emuNAND. So as much as I appreciate if you wish me to use emuNAND instead or update emuNAND to access the eShop, that's not what I'm after unfortunately.

That was the same problem I had on my O3DS 10.3 SysNand (I only overwrite NVER btw), and then I started the eshop via HANS (with FW spoof) and the same problem occured.
After that I installed the TIGER from 10.5 too (TIGER is the eshop itself. All people say that it only needed on emunand...but I try to overwrite it via NASA in 10.3 Sysnand...without any problem.)
Since there was no problem, I try again start my eshop via HANS and FW-spoof and voila no freezes anymore. I can access all complety and installed also some updates for the games here.
Maybe it can also solve the problem 9.2.0 sysnand, dont know. But that step helped me :)

Maybe it only work 9.6+. I try to cryptofix it, also rebuild it. Installing works perfectly, but there was only a black icon on my home menu, nothing more. It frezes after starting it . Also there was no possibilitie t run via HANS.
Maybe i did something wrong, because I'm new with that.^^. But cryptofixing means to decrypt the cia (I decrpyted with Decrypt9 perfectly) and maybe rebuild after that, or?
'If yes, i tried it and the result is like described above.

Tried it on 10.3 emunand and a fresh 9.0 emunand, not on sysnand. But the results may be the same there.

That was my bad. Cryptofixing applies to digital eShop titles supposedly. eShop needs to be firmware spoofed which means doing something else to the .cia that applies a firmware spoof to it, then repacking it.

What do yu try? Install the new TIGER on 10.3 or my previous steps?
If it was the first, don't know why it functionating again and again for me (if I downgrade to the old TIGER -> freeze, install new one with Nasa 1.2 -> all ok, again and again for emuNAND 10.3 and sysNAND 10.3^^).
There is some way for us all in my opinion, we have to find it out :D

Something really odd to note is that it's just the menu specifically that freezes. I managed to get into the search function before the menu loaded and sat there for a good 10 minutes with everything working just fine. However, the second I left that screen the whole thing froze again. I also tried using the latest TIGER app too; no dice, still freezes.

Can somebody please figure out what is going on? Is it just me, or are there many others out there experiencing the same problem? What's causing it?

I figured out the issue of why eShop wasn't working thanks to the help of a reddit user; for anyone else looking for a solution, TIGER was to blame. You need to install the latest TIGER .cia in order to get it to work.

Now I need help with an error code I'm recieving for trying to add funds. It's 009-9998 and presumably it's because I'm too far away from the access point, but I believe there's something else to this. That was related to the mint applet.

So why exactly are you messing with Sysnand and not emunand ?

Because I have all of my purchased apps and NNID on sysNAND while my emuNAND uses homebrew apps. I like to keep them seperate when possible.

That's my choice even if it's not the logical one, I understand the risks I'm taking by changing the sysNAND and I hold responsibility if something goes wrong anyway.

Why not clone sysnand to emunand and then format using TinyFormat instead if you want to keep your purchases

But your pretty much running the risk of bricking sysnand. And thats what the Home menu folders are for (:

Like I said, I understand the risks and it's on me if that happens. If it comes to that however there's always hard-mod + NAND backup. And home-menu folders has nothing to do with what I said. It's not about keeping them apart folder wise; it's about keeping them apart NAND wise.

It really defeats the point of having Emunand if the homebrew isn't CIA exclusive,(assuming it isnt) Why not settle for .3dsx as it really defeats the point of emunand in my opinion

Might I recommend A9LH?
It's not technically keeping a 9.2 SysNAND, but it overwrites FIRM0/1 and uses that as an entrypoint for CFW.

That would let you keep SysNAND and even update it (10.6 works on it as of writing) while retaining the ability to use EmuNAND.

Of course, if not, that's fine. I'm sure there's some solution, but workaround-ing 9.2 isn't my knowledge. Just tossing it out there.

The homebrew I'm using is .CIA exclusive, at least in the dynarec sense. Besides, I like to keep my options open in case something .CIA exclusive or otherwise CFW exclusive comes along. And as much as I respect your opinion, each to their own. You have yours and I'll have mine. ;)

Thank you for that but I'll keep the current setup I've got going until further notice. :3
