i was honestly just gonna play the localized version just because it would be easier.
All text translated, U.S updates and i can keep a .3ds version and not have to use .cia version.

But...
HOLY CRAP that dubbing is fucking atrocious.
"Our love is like a fairy tail come truee" @ :13
Jesus, That broke me.
Keeping the Fan Translated Sub and hopefully they finish all the text thats left.

Other Cring Worthy Line: ("I dont know how to act Romantically, uhhh am i doing ok??") @ :27
Thank Goodness I'm not the only one defending this :|

i agree with alot of what you say, i am waiting for the Translated version (to fully translate the Support chat) and then will continue on with that. (because i want the original pat mini game and the unchanged dialogue between certain characters and also their original names e.g Marx over Xander ,Foleo over Forrest.. etc.)

so Translated version >>>> Localized version for me at least.

on my side i have not decided which 'version' to play

I would like to play the french localized version, with japanese voices/names when(if) undub will(would) be available, but i also do want to read original dialologues and not Nintendo-kiddy-friendly dialalogues ;-;

HANS will be your salvation, ALL HANS ON BOARD

Too lazy to use hans, i'll buy the game and play on a patched rom.

Anyway, the localized game would be good enought. Japanese Voices and names are simply i a (really really) nice to have.

Now i just have to figure if i prefer fan-translation with full japanese exclusive content, or official french translation (+undub) but with kiddy-friendly dialogues.

sereneforest is working on a new delocalization patch, so lets hope that rolls in :)

Which 'feature' do they plan to include in the patch ?
I'm not sure what does mean the term 'delocalization patch'.

I think the same would apply if the game were Russian, German or French. It is not about some Japanese fanaticism, it is just that the original content is way fucking better.
Look:

Come on, tell me you can bear that VA with a straight face.
Tell me you don't wanna puke while you listen that.
Tell me all that, and then I will be sure you have some kind of psychological problem.

sounds like an english voice to me. so?

It is pretty much undoing the localization (censorship) that they included with the game but with subs.

It's a pretty shitty English voice. If you can bear that voice acting, you shouldn't have a problem.

now what makes a voice shitty?
i mean like, personally, i rather have a voice saying things i actually understand, instead of all that japanese gibberish.

being able to understand it is not automatically shitty. which i feel is the case for almost all people who whine about dubs. if you actually were fluent in the original language, you would be able to hear the errors and stupid emphasis on words that dont really need it. but you dont, so you only hear a certain tonal range of background noise that can't actually leave a bad impression on a technical level.

Who's child is that? I just know about Inigo and his male attractions.
I don't know who is or the name, all I know my friend told me that is a trap on the original :v

This is something with I have with fox on smash4 and tails on sonic adventure, these voices are irritating, the japanese are great xp

I can only compare it to other game's dubs. Even if I can't tell if the Japanese va is bad, who cares! Then it won't be sticking out at me.

I'll just leave this here

Information is not only transmitted by words on the actual spoken language.
We all have and trust quite a lot other types of signs, like voice tone and gestures.
In fact, those transmit some kind of information that reaches your brain faster in a somewhat stronger way than actual word-based language.
The same as some random dog that doesn't understand much of your words but reacts to your voice tone and gestures, we can build empathy with some given character based on the voice acting (given proper characterisation).
Also, we can understand that something being said is straight, or irony, or sarcasm, or full of hate, etc. via voice tone and acting; much more than for the actual words.
THAT IS THE FUCKING IMPORTANCE OF VOICE ACTING.
Your senses trust more those signs than the words, specially in building empathy, sustaining suspension of disbelief, and believing the character personality.

Kudos man, you just wrote a guide on understanding women xD

That sounds about right for most weebs. Looks like I found myself a new sig quote!

Wow, you're an ass. He's a weeb just because he wants the full content? Everyone playing Nintendo games are weebs too, because Nintendo is Japanese.

There's a reason the stuff was removed, and it's not censorship - different things are socially acceptable in Japan and America. Face rubbing isn't socially acceptable.

Ok, so, now just because I live in america ( the continent, USA isn't a continent ) I can't like things like that? My brain HAS to NOT accept it? Well, first of all, if there was a Nintendo of Brazil, they most likely wouldn't be pulling up with this censorship bullshit, but just because the USA is a stupid country full of easily offended 12 year olds, the entirety of America has to get fucked too? Let's not even forget that the people that actually even get offended or dislike the things that were censored is very small, I doubt any kid is going to be playing a Fire Emblem game.

I don't want the full content being taken away from me just because I don't live in Japan or don't have a JP 3DS ( Which I should have bought when I was there ).

So, please, stop defending what is wrong. This is not a dictatorship, nothing should get censored because of people.

since voice, tone and gestures are extremely culturally diverse, it stands to reason that all that stuff would be really offputting in original japanese dub.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Also, try not to feed the trolls. Looking back, there is no way sonic could have been serious.
