Does this work on firmware other than 10.3? I'm currently running 9.9 so I dunno if it's possible for me to downgrade.

Thanks, it's just that I've already given this three tries and still nothing, just a black screen after I hit Y. I've verified the files and I only get "goods" so I'm not too sure if this ain't working because of me or RNGesus.

yep ( i personally downgraded 9.5 o3ds and 9.6 n3ds, but read that n3ds better to be 10.3 though)

It means, you power off your 3ds, and hope it'll work next time. (It froze)

I just realised why... I originally used the other sysupdater on 10.3.0E but at the time I didn't realise I was installing 9.2.0U and so... of course. softbrick. then I went and recovered... and entirely forgot it was version 1.5.0E o-o Now I'm kinda upset I missed that opportunity by a sliver xD

After many tries with MenuHax, I used SafeSysUpdater on IronHax and it allegedly worked. The process was apparently successful and tried rebooting the system at the end. It wouldn't reboot so I turned it off and on. However, now I only get a black screen on startup. Taking the SD card out displays "An error has occurred". And fortunately I can go into recovery mode. Is there anything I'm doing wrong in this step? I don't wanna give up on HW so easily. D:

That's exactly what happened to me when I tried to downgrade my 10.1 o3DS and I was about to ask the same thing.

Can I use a Cubic Ninja USA on a EU 3ds to use as another hb entry point? I'll access cubic ninja through menuhax first. Or it doesn't work that way? XD
I'm not having much luck with menuhax...

You'll have to go into MenuHax first and launch the region free option.

on "pink line screen" press Down+L+R+B and run again the safesysupdater (run it fast and you will get hax succes)

Hmm, I managed to install it... but the installer couldn't reboot the system by itself, so I powered it off manually.

And now I have a black screen when turning the system on with the SD card in. If I take out the SD it boots fine

Gotcha, Now it boots fine
New problem: IronFall doesn't boot, it gets stuck in the "Nintendo 3DS" screen
