From my tests, it looks like trying to replace character models with assist trophies, Smash Run enemies, etc. just results in a crash while the game is loading. Can anyone else confirm or offer an explanation of how to make it work?
Yes. I tried that too

I would respond but my computer is too laggy tonight.

now we wait for a project to put the removed sexy Tharja trophy back in the game based solely on the leaked photos and with a master re-creation artist and a mod that renames Corrin back to Kamui and replaces the English voices and English announcer voices for Kamui with the Japanese voices and a mod that makes Smash 3DS actually play the Fire Emblem If theme on the Regna Ferox stage. that way @shadowofchaos would no longer have to edit the Japanese voices into all of his weeaboo Robin/Reflet/Kamui Smash 3DS videos and all weeb tastes for Fire Emblem in Smash can be fulfilled. too bad this would be a lot for anyone to do and unless a team actually forms together of people interested in doing this, it likely won't happen. I just want muh Tharja trophy back in. pls teach me how to art full trophies back in lmao

Is the Tharja trophy already in the Japanese version, by any chance? Or did they remove it from that game, too? If not, you can easily put it back in.

it was removed before Japanese release too hence why I said there'd have to be a full artist's re-creation using only the leaks as reference.

That sounds amazing! I feel like finding all the complete skins online and putting them into one big pack now...

Ah. Good luck with that. I just can't find myself too interested because trophies can't keep my attention for more than a couple seconds...

I'm not sure how to go about things if you don't want to use Salty.cia.

DTLS.exe crashes when it get to zelda's phantom sound.bin on the 1.1.4 update
is there something i am missing or do have to find another .cia file of the update

Can I just drag these into my data folder and replace the files, or do I have to import things?

Replacing character models with assist trophies will not work on 3DS. They work on the Wii U for the most part. Still not sure as to what the reason is.

When uploading a file, I highly suggest creating the textures for both the low poly and high poly models. For example, the github upload place is lacking in that. Only the low poly models were textured and scaling low textures to be larger destroys the quality. My advice is to start with the textures on the high poly model (yes they are different scales and quality) and then shrink them for the low poly model.

Also, I suggest checking for every sound replacement you do. Make sure the program saves the edit. Sometimes it won't. The tutorial creator did not mention this, but do not click textures in Ohana. It's safer to scroll down the list with the arrow keys. If a character has 3 texture files and Ohana's textures tab shows more than that then do not click on the fourth one. You will need to restart Ohana over again. Just scroll with the keys. Doing so will only prompt an error which you can escape from by clicking a texture above the one (s) giving an error.

is it possible to replace models with trophy models?
No. They lack the bone structure of chacters and assist trophies.

Manito isn't the first person to make one. I made a Shiny Charizard before the Link was posted and another guy with a tutorial older than this made texture hacks on reddit, but still a pretty nuce Link texture nonetheless lol.
