Sooo, I`m probably on the newest firmware now(updated somewhere last week) and have and old blue sky3ds by a year or something now.

As I had plenty of games installed that i was playing I was not really that much on the scene on whats happening, now i`m planning to get a couple of new SD cards to download some more games and have some questions to go...

How are these ap checks working?? Do They ban the game entirely from working? Also, all new games have this ou just a bunch, and if yes, there`s a way from me to know which of them hv it? like "all games released after this date u can not play" or something like that.

I try to read everything here for knowledge before asking, as what i have saw it may be impossible now to downgrade, so i'm asking this cause I'm thinking on buying the new one if it will pay off

about AP checks, well im also new to this thing but afaik:
* Sky3ds blue button (still) cannot overcome the new AP checks thats why they released sky3ds+(plus).
* if you're not picky about out of region games, like ex. EUR 3ds -> EUR games, etc. if possible, to stick to it.
* updating the game is not a problem (as long as its in same region?)
* if you're scared about bans, try adding private headers in your games. try "no Ban no Sky"

I already have a ph injected on all games. I know the blue button can not pass the ap checks, but i wanna know if this blocks the game entirely and how can i know what games i can not play

The game won't work at all. Every major releases have the AP check (since FE and AC:HD) and probable every games in the future will have it.

On 10.4 / 10.5 you can't downgrade to 9.2 then run cfw to get around AP
However, all the new games since about 3 months ago have AP checks. You can't run a game that have ap check with sky3ds blue button. Some games have ap checks on one region but don't have on other regions.

First off yes you can downgrade 10.4 / 10.5 I have done it three times now, once on all three regions and on both n3ds and o3ds.

With cfw it bypasses the checks so you can load a game on the cart and play it without converting to cia. This is why the template is still updated.

Feel free not to believe me but these are facts. Once you figure how much a hard mod is and the fact you get cfw vs a sky+ it's cheaper and more features with blue sky and cfw

You can downgrade just if you have a nand backup, which I don't think OP have. The common meaning of downgrade is installing older system version and not restoring previous nand backup.

memchunkhax 2 was patched on 10.4 or am i wrong?
or do you mean via hardmod?

yes hard mod is required hence my first post

If you are on ofw 10.5 with NO NAND BACKUP I can still downgrade. Don't think I can be any clearer. Just because you never heard of it or because it's not widely public doesn't mean it doesn't exist
