My results so far

O3Ds, Firm 10.3, HB: original smea

Ironhax 2.5 w/o open ftbrony before - 25 tries, got glitchy "Done" twice
Ironhax 2.5 opening ftbrony before - 71 tries, got glitchy "Done" a lot more
Menuhax 2.1 opening ftbrony before - 26 tries, got the map thing a couple times, glitchy "Done" like half of the times and regular "Done" but freezed the other half of the times

Sometimes wifi is On and sometimes is off, most of the times I press A while FBI is open, my finger is starting to hurt :(

ninja edit: HB version

Quick update: After 2 stupidbillons I finally manage to get into the install screen, but it frozed...

"Setup": Menuhax, wifi off, no gamecard, ftbrony first and spamming "A"

Same thing happened to me on my N3ds, I only got it to run through IronHax*

For those who haven't been able to get FBI to get past the exploit, try this tutorial out. It has a higher rate of getting the exploit to work. Just apply the tutorial with the FBI.3dsx file instead.

It doesn't work apparently. Anyway tried pretty much every methods and haven't managed to get it to work again. I guess it's purely luck based unless every settings have an effect on the success rate. Guess the best thing to do right now is to try few times everyday and hope for an improved version to be released later unless there's indeed some kinda magic tricks :moogle:

Im just curious... how come you don't just downgrade and do the emunand life? (:
I might eventually but right now I'm just waiting for a bit for more stable stuff to come out. I figure installed a signed game to my system is remotely safe vs messing with a ton of system files.

So another question is it ok to just uninstall the games in the system menu data management or do I have to use the CIA uninstaller?

because it's buggy and not everyone wants to risk a brick. I personally want to wait for the stable downgrade release, and enjoy legit CIAs for now.

I've uninstalled legit CIAs so it's okay. EU CIAs on a US system wont show on the menu, but they are on the Data Management, so you can uninstall them too.

The only thing thats unstable is memchunkhax and it wont work it if starts unstable :P the code that they use for sysupdater is good code. I downgraded both my 3ds's (N3ds and old.) It seems scary but you just need the right update files. (:

Still trying to quit super smash bros without that constant freeze. trying to hold some buttons but does not work. any help? (dont wanna delete menuhax)

that's probably got nothing to do with menuhax. its just smash bros shuts down the home menu completely to get all the system ressources of the 3ds to run. when you hit home button, essentially asking the closed down home menu to come up, on a normal copy, it would continue to reset the console to boot back into home menu. basically, restarting the whole thing is whats supposed to happen. its just a little inconvenient that you have to shut down the 3ds manually now.

there's a chance that the dump of that legit cia just has that one bug that prevents the 3ds from shutting itself down.
hitting the home menu button may or may not work (doesnt work for me) because, instead of the home menu, the console calls for the homebrew exploit to execute.

Tried on my 3DS USA, worked after 10 tries, It was plugged in but I'm not sure that makes a difference.
Using menuh4x and CHMMS first

Also I got a torrent file with all the cias (So, no ads :D) with the name: 3DS_LegitCIA

Ok. So I finally got this to work.

Have Pokemon X and Alpha Sapphire as well as Fire Emblem Awakening and I think I have figured out how to get full copies that can be re downloaded.

Follow this after you successfully install a legit CIA. Open eShop, search for game, initiate repair progress, it will scan the file, then it will re download it. It then should add it to your "Purchased Game History"

I'm not 100% on this, but I'm pretty sure it works. Shoutout if it worked for y'all.

You don't have to do the repair stuff in eShop :)
Just check it says downloaded, thats all.
Now you can delete the game if you want and redownload it later.

IF you ever system transffer, it's gone, even with the repair method, legit cia's installed will not system transffer!

Well I've already found an issue though, my Alpha Sapphire had a different file size that the eShop. The game worked fine. But there was still something wrong with it. So it's better safe than sorry. I'd recommend to everyone to go ahead and check out their CIA anyways. Do yourself a favor and just go ahead and do a file repair and let it re download the file. I know it sounds a pain in the Arse, but just do it.

would this work with a eur cia file? Like can you delete and download the usa version from the eshop if you own the eur cia?
