Question. After FBI stuff is injected 'n all that, could I re-install rxTools without losing stuff?

I want to re-download it to see if that'll fix it, using another version fixed a problem I had before.

Try it! FBI will remain there regardless, it's installed completely.

I guess give that a go if you're also having black screen issues?

Okay! This worked! And I know I'm in EMUNAND because Health and Safety launches FBI.

On the following step I had a different problem. When I tried to install TinyFormat.cia from inside FBI to unlink, the following was displayed:

"Install failed!
Could not install aPP.
Raw Error: 0xc8a0802b
Module: AM (0x20)
Level: Status (0x19)
Summary: Invalid state (0x5)
Description: Database does not exist (0x2b)

Press Start to continue"

I fixed it by following this post from ages ago:

"No database" means that the SD title database hasn't been created, I believe. You'll need to download something (even a demo) from the eShop, or do the trick where you create empty "title.db" and "import.db" files in "/Nintendo 3DS/<id0>/<id1>/dbs/" on your SD card, open "Data Management -> Nintendo 3DS -> Software" in System Settings, and let it repair the files.

In my case it was Settings > Data Management DSWare > SD Card and it did the trick.

Now I'm going to go figure out how I can re-download all my games since on neither sysnand or emunand (updated to 10.3) can I access the eShop (which was ... predictable?).

That would work, but you'd have to re-setup EVERYTHING. INCLUDING YOUR ACTUAL 3DS DATA. I'd recommend starting over from the backup made before EmuNAND, I did that.

The new MenuHax installer combined with the Tinker app (https://gbatemp.net/threads/tinker-shuffle-menuhax-theme-manager.407445/) will do the trick!

Of course the Nightly builds folder would go down due to too much traffic due to the downgrade influx.
Appended a Mega mirror to the latest build on the OP.
Most of the kinks seem to have been ironed out, so I think I'm closer to completion than before.
Eventually I'll attempt to downgrade and install CFW on a N3DS and report back with my findings.

so black screen upon booting rxtools has been solved for me, rxtools needs to be booted using browsrehax as an entrypoint first, then format system memory from emunand system tools, that unlinks nands, reboot the console and reinstall menuhax but also change the trigger to something other than left trigger as well as setting for type 2 so it will autoboot, that will fix the boot loop that was occuring as rxtools was also loading menuhax as it booted emunand since the nands were still linked...ive done all that and now it works perfectly!

So what you're saying is that Menuhax was triggering on rxTools emuNAND because of Menuhax autobooting to CTRBootManager because of the theme and causing the black screens.
That had never even occurred to me, time for another guide update.

I fixed it all. One last thing, though! When selecting "Inject FBI" and going through everything, I'm presented with...

"Backing up Health & Safety info... Injecting FBI to Health & Safety info..."

"Choose source action: (B) = Keep, (X) = Delete"

Which one do I choose?

E: I know you can use that Decrypt9 tool as an alternate but unfortunately the instructions here are rather sparse, and I'm not actually sure how to properly install Decrypt9.

Wow. The release one let me get to the menu, but it fails and the other rxtools seems alright until you try to go to the menu and it red screens on the bottom. Not to mention it keeps needing to install every single time.

These should be in your SD card root, corresponding to steps 12 through 16.

Don't understand. Do all the files found in the folder go root of the SD card? Downgraded. Backup Sysnand. Created emunand. Stuck at 12 and can't launch Homemenu Browser. Is RxTools installing at every boot natural?

Ok quick question with the rx-tools setup for O3DS;

on this step:

"firmware.bin:
O3DS: Downloadable through the following Windows .bat script:"

I got that script to work ok, but after it completed it still gave me 3 files back and not one single
"firmware.bin" file which is needed in the next step... Please help...
