Homebrew How to install legit CIA files 9.3-10.3

Non-legit cias fail to get installed. If they didn't, you still have to patch signatures in order to load them (and you cannot run any CFW on 10.3 currently).

Thank you so much for this thread! It was desperately needed after the first hype wave. I have some questions though, if you do install a legit cia how do you go about removing it later and are some files left over? Also, would these legit Cias cause problems (theoretically) when we are able to downgrade?

Also I think it would be good to not hide the troubleshooting info, kinda handy especially considering the menu hax and sd space info

We can brick system on downgrading or installing legit cia? Which one risky?

Downgrading is like 99% brick. Legit cia is like 0.1% brick rate.

Uninstall through FBI.

it will say its a legit cia if it does not then it most likely isnt

IMPORTANT: IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO INSTALL CIA FILES ABOVE SYSTEM MENU VERSION 9.2! THAT ALSO INCLUDES ALL NINJHAX2/TUBEHAX/IRONHAX USERS.

My math must be off because I thought 10.3 was above 9.2. I successfully installed NSMB2 and SM3DL.

No idea, just use menuhax.

I'm to lazy to install menuhax and i dont want to lose access to chmm2.

you can try it on ironhax
I got it to work with ocarinahax

Personally, I would recommend not going attempting it with any software that hasn't yet received thorough testing, but a great thank you for making this thread so that confused newbies will have what they want and not disrupt other threads as has been occurring recently

There is already a thread about legit cias, but... if i search for a mario kart 7 legit cia, will it come with the 1.1 update? i guess i should need to look for a correct cia with the update?
