Hacking sd cards that work ?

i got a 32 gb sandisk ultra sd hc and using an adapter and formatted it in fat32 on the pc and the wii u did not recognize it and if i format it on the wii u the pc does not recognize it im using windows 7 if that helps im planning on buying another sd card not micro but i would like to know whats the best to use.

I'm testing a lexar 4gb card atm and seems to work but im not sure if i should get that as a 32 gb or something else.

It also could be the adapter im using but hard to tell since it does format in the sd windows just does not want to recognize it for some reason if i format it using the wii u

The size of the SD card depends on your needs, up to 256 GB is supported.
Brand doesn't matter, the SD must be faulty. What you want to look out for the most especially for loadiine use is read speed. UHS-I 3 cards support up to 95 MBps read speed.

Yes that's perfect. From what I've heard, a read speed of 80 MBps or more is good, and this card has 80 MBps. Write speed, not so important for Loadiine since you'll only be writing once.

Thanks for the quick reply back. It wouldn't be as good/fast as far as loading speeds in Loadiine compared to the ones you listed above though right? Or is the difference not even noticeable most likely?

Eh mine is slightly faster (Mine has a max of 95 MBps Read and yours has a max of 80 MBps Read) But it's nearly the same. You'll be able to load your games just fine. And if you're limited to local stores, this is a good card!

Heck, I even used a cheaper micro SD when I first used Loadiine as a test, and the games literally loaded fast with it! I was surprised because it wasn't even my fastest card that I was planning on using.

Btw, class 10 means write speed maximum of 10 MBps. Also class 10 + UHS-I 1 = 10 MBps write also. But a class 10 + UHS-I 3 card = 30 MBps write + 95 MBps read
But like I said, write isn't top priority for Loadiine.

Not sure if your card is even UHS-I, it's just a class 10. But that's completely fine!
I promise this is the right card to get.

But if you do go in stores for SD cards, look for read speed of 80 MBps or more.

But yeah you won't go wrong with that SD card. Your impatience won't mislead you. Sandisc Ultra and Sandisc Extreme are great because they have 80 MBps read for Ultra and 95 MBps read for Extreme. If you go with another brand, just watch out for the read speed.

A small tip, I heard it's best if you add all the games all at once on your SD card to prevent fragmentation. I had 90 GB to transfer, took 3 hours! But now everything is working flawless and everything is on there.

it formats on the pc but isnt seen on the wii but when i format it on the wii the pc wants me to format it ?

I want to test an 128GB sdhc but it is not detected by loadiine. I've formatted it to fat32 instead of exfat it was with both 64kb cluster(for faster loading) and 32kb.

does inserting and reserting cards have any drawbacks?

Has it actually been confirmed that the Wii U supports UHS-3? I'd love for someone to compare Sandisk Ultras to the Extreme for example, and see if it actually has a benefit for Loadiine... I'm still on the fence on which one to buy.

I'm actually unsure about that! It might not actually use the speeds of UHS-I 3. The price difference isn't that great from Sandisk Ultra vs extreme right? or just UHS-I 1 vs UHS-I 3?

Go for it, I'd say so because I used a random SD card to test Loadiine, and it loaded perfect. I'm sure that card wasn't even UHS-I and it performed well.

Other than having to exchange them, no. I supposed that constantly moving/removing them can also wear out the connectors.

but most eshop games ive seen are like 3-4gbs in size
is that not the standard size?
is there like a thread on game sizes i can check or something
