I was playing Dracula X: Rondo of Blood just fine the other day on 2015-11-29 nightly. Did you put the syscard3.pce file in retroarch/cores/system?

What's the hash of your syscard3.pce? The OP doesn't mention one.

NB: I had to convert my WAVs to OGGs, because it appears only Vorbis is compiled in.

@NEO117 That seems like exactly what would happen if you changed the controller from the 3DS inputs to something else within the RA input menu: switching to a different controller makes input stop working entirely because there is no different controller to read inputs from (even to use to switch back to the existing inputs). Have you tried renaming or deleting your retroarch.cfg so that RetroArch can create a new one? If you don't want to lose all your settings, you can go looking for the input setting in your old config and change it if it turns out that this is your issue.

Sadly I have tried deleting my cfg several times already. I even went ahead and deleted the whole folder and nothing works. I'll take a look at the cfg file and check out what you say, maybe it's crapping itself by default for some strange reason.

EDIT: I'm afraid it makes no difference. Nothing looks out of place in my cfg. I have attached it as it is, perhaps someone could take a look?

I'm using a N3DS XL on 9.0.0U Emunand.

Is there a way to do a 2x nearest neighbour upscale before bilinearly scaling down to fit the 3DS screen? I found there is a libretro shader called sharp-bilinear which does just this, but I assume shaders only work on other platforms.

I'm using Gambatte and finding that with integer scaling enabled the image is a bit too small, and with integer off + bilinear on it's a bit too blurry. Enabling a Scale2x filter + bilinear is almost ideal, giving a much sharper scaled image, but it also alters the image too much. Unless I've overlooked another method, am I right in thinking there would need to be a nearestneighbour2x filter to do what I want?

I've just been trying the different filters some more and found one that sort of does what I want. The 2xBR filter is supposed to do some heavy pixel smoothing but I guess it's broken since it's only giving me a 2x nearest neighbour upscale (which is what I was after). The downside is that there is still a significant performance cost. Gambatte is able to remain at 60fps with 2xBR enabled but in gpSP it will drop the framerate into the 40s.

I took some screenshots to show how much sharper it makes the scaled image. First is just with Bilinear enabled. Second is with Bilinear plus the 2xBR(oken) filter:

The game is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for GBC, running on the 2015-12-01 build.

I've finally found a solution to the problem I've been having with DKC1 (PAL version) for many weeks now in the catsfc core. (it totally glitched on the world/level screen: http://s23.postimg.org/7bsirt2w9/glitch.gif)
The simple solution: just select a video filter in the options, it doesn't seem to matter which one you pick. They all fix the glitch. But some filters do slow down the game though.
No idea why it was glitching without the filter. It seems to be a very rare, specific bug. I've only seen 1 other person in this thread reporting the same thing.

Is anyone else getting crashes when using pocketsnes with marioRPG when putting the console to sleep?

I have had this problem as well. I deleted the Config Files and Installed Latest Versions fresh. Same result. Frame Counter advances, but nothing can be done.

I have save files for various games (ex: Chrono Trigger and Mario All-Stars for SNES specifically) but it seems that Catsfc will not load the save data. What's going on? New 3DS, 10.3 latest build of Ironhax 2.5 and Catsfc.

Is Tempgba on 3DS not possible?I think we might get better performance with it rather than original gpsp
TempGBA is so fast because it uses an ARM-to-MIPS dynamic recompiler. That's why ports only exist for MIPS-based formats (DSTwo, Dignoo, PSP etc.).

It would be pointless on the 3DS, which is ARM-based.

Has anyone gotten Akumajo Dracula X Rondo of Blood to work for the turbo grafix? every time I try to play it i get a black screen with with a glitched out line at the bottom of the screen.
Might want to edit that to get rid of the link before a mod gets on you, and n3ds or o3ds?

that got rid of the glitched line but still just a black screen

Ah, sorry, didn't see the black screen bit. Apparently (according to the changelogs) pce-fast is broken on the current nightlies - I'm using the Nov 16th version myself, and have played through Rondo of Blood with it.
It could also be a screen filter (if you use those), I haven't tried it with pce-fast but filters gave a black screen on Genplus gx and pocketsnes last time I tried. Can you still hear sound, or is it compleely frozen?
