Dosn't it mean EmuNand etc. access? Since they can hook in now?
It could lead to something in the right hands. There is a lot of shit inside the elf.
No, the British police... Sending a porkchopper and paddy wagon.
I want a Porkchopper. Just make sure it throws bacon.

@oPolo Because marcan wanted to cherry pick homebrew devs before sharing the hax and he's a member of fail0verflow. We wouldn't have the common key yet if it wasn't leaked. They were sitting on it for about 3 years.
He did have valid reason for doing so. The Wii U was already failing, and f0f knew that if they released exploits without decent homebrew potential building first, it'd just be used for piracy. And lo and behold, kernel exploit is released, and the only notable homebrew to come from it are a debugger and a backup loader.

And I've made it clear that I don't care if piracy happens. I just want people to know/have everything. ;)

If that was their reason, then they should of approached that problem after they knew they had a way in, so that it could be released and homebrew be made. Not bitch up and hold onto something for "piracy" reasons. Regardless if proper homebrew sdks were made beforehand, piracy would have still come just as quickly.

That's not to sound entitled by the way, I'm just saying if that's their reason, then what was the point to begin with if not homebrew? Increased knowledge and Epenis?

In other words, if they wanted to release it, they would of. Blanket statements or not. That's how I see it.

yeah but also would have killed off any hopes of the return of 3rd party dev's to the wiiu.....but that happened anyway so i guess that's a moot point now, but as always if you have different ethical standards with hacking you know what to do :P (i will give you a clue it involves not thinking slagging off other devs will advance your "goal")

basically the way i see it is f0f gave the wiiu a chance to succeed,i.e not kicking nintendo when they were down, which imho is admirable even if "but we could have had hacks long ago"

That was their reason, stated in a video:

Towards the end somewhere.

so whats up with nintendo consoles. why do they always get hacked first? bad defenses or adamant hackers?

I'm not saying they didn't say it was their reason. I'm saying that their reason sounds illogical to me. The only thing that really makes sense is what gq said, to me. But again, I have no gripes or anything, I don't really care. It'll all come eventually. Whether I make it myself or not.

I know. I was reinforcing that it was their reason to reinforce our point. :)

Chance is higher to sell Games once more consoles sold. Like almost every Skylander Stuff get sold, since it has Hardware Copyprotection.

I'd say a majority of Nintendo's money comes from other Merchandise based on their games, rather than the games or consoles themselves. Those boxes of little action figures are always empty.
