What a real Nintendo hacker's computer looks like.

Why? Most of those are of very limited use for ROM hacking (and their use not encouraged), frowned upon for any kind of homebrew dev (not to mention potentially more awkward and clunky than devkitpro) and not brilliant for console hacking/hardware knowledge gaining in general.
SDKs used to be quite useful for all three but most things stopped being really useful around the time of the DS or 360.

The latest Cafe SDK that was scene-leaked is more convenient than this for disassembling and reversing cafe os:

https://github.com/wiiudev/libwiiu

(Since you don't have to dump the RPL files/funcs and may not have kernel access yourself.) Though it will become outdated for those without a PPC kernel exploit, obviously, when Nintendo updates cafe os. So, it's highly useful since games dynamically link with cafe os for hardware features.

I don't know if the same can be said for the CTR SDK and 3DS services or if the SDK interfaces with the firmware of a dev unit which has the binaries for the services. I'm guessing the latter.

What I'm saying is, with the Cafe SDK, you have the binaries for the "services" but those are in the firmware for a 3DS and not in the CTR SDK. So the Cafe SDK is infinitely more useful for building an emulator than the CTR SDK.

That is an absolutely lovely Classic Theme! It really does present a "I Am Here To Do Serious Work" vibe whenever you see a computer with it.

Probably one of the things I hate about Microsoft's Windows 10 shenanigans the most- taking away customization control from the user. Blugh.

[04:38.41] <Twili> experience shows that people care more about emulators that work
