Hacking [PoC] 3DS Region Changing + proof

Oh oh!

Which CFW allows that, and which value could I simply change?
(Let's say to Korean? I'm not entirely interested in Eshop use, but rather just going online)

well actually its more complicated than just "change the byte and and the whole system changes region" as the system would also need the alternate regions system titles installed....and afaik currently no FW has the secureinfo signature checks patched, so you need a valid signed alternate region secureinfo file to change region

I'm aware of system titles needs to be swapped and everything, since I managed to change region previously with a donated secureinfo Jpn.

I was having difficulties with Korean secureinfo so just asking if any alternative,

Ah yes, Korean and Chinese: the most overlooked 3DS regions.
Most people think there's only 3.

maybe check on douwan, the chinese site, they have lots of good stuff.
naturally i can't really share the ones i have/the korean one i have because it was given in trust, remember it is someone's actual serial number

I remember duowan having a ban notice regarding secureinfo.

Yeah so far couldn't find Korean ones, hence my question .

I just changed my emunand from jap to eur with a secureinfo_a found on that iso site, it's secure to play online with it or it's better if i dump my o3ds secureinfo?

edit: dumped from mine and changed, to be sure nothing bad will happen

cearp i had some fun testing some things out with my emuNAND.

My 9.4.0 emuNAND already has NNID and you need internet/actual
fw to remove it, so i thought about a way to remove it without internet.

NNID is listed in: \data\<your unique id>\sysdata\00010038 > 00000000

It was pretty simple to do it and here it is how i did it:

1. I extracted my fat16 xorpad using launcher.dat from 3DS_Multi_Decryptor
2. Dumped emuNAND.bin using emuNANDTool
3. Extracted emunand.fat16.bin
4. xor'ed emunand.fat16.bin
5. Mounted emunand.fat16.bin.out with WinImage
6. Browsed to \data\<your unique id>\sysdata\00010038
7. Replaced 00000000 with another one i've extracted the same way that never had nnid
8. Renamed emunand.fat16.bin.out to test.bin
9. xor'ed test.bin
10. Injected test.bin.out into emunand.fat16.bin with HxD
11. Injected emunand.fat16.bin @ offset B930000 with HxD
12. Injected my new emunand.fat16.bin into my SD Card using emuNANDTool

Eh, voila, after booting into emuNAND NNID was gone

I could have switched out or deleted any other files i wanted,
maybe this will help your research

Wifi Data is located with SSID and readable Password in:
\data\<your unique id>\sysdata\00010017

Foldernames (on Dashboard) are located in:
\data\<your unique id>\sysdata\00020098

Understanding everything you listed!!! XD I want to unlink the ID from EmuNand to link an ID Nintendo unlinked for me. But they forgot to unlink the one from my EmuNand... Now I have an Id to unlink only to login to another on my EmuNand.

Everything? Maybe you should read up how to extract your own xorpad for emuNAND first.

I know how to do that. But...! It's all confusing, and I'm super paranoid of bricking the damn thing... I don't own a backup of a nand of mine with no NNID linked... I guess I'm calling Nintendo again...

That won't help, to remove your nnid, it needs nintendo services wich doesn't run on non acutal firmwares without free multi patcher.

I have a jpn new 3ds with gateway, it is on 9.2. is there a way so i can swap the sysnand region to USA so i can use again my pokemon bank account? because of this thing of the nonexistent updates by gateway for new3ds is getting on my nerves and i want to use my pokebank again. basically, turn a jpn regular new 3ds to a usa regular new 3ds

yes it is possible. but if you are not confident then don't, because if you make a little mistake, unless you have a hardmod then you are bricked
but i recommend using the theme hax to boot up in emunand, change the region of emunand and then you will have a 'usa console' pretty much
not with gw, but with reinand or rxtools. on the updated emunand you can use stuff like pokebank fine, updated to the latest fw on it

i thought that getting emunand 9.6+ on new 3ds was impossible. i'm a gateway user, do you recommend me installing a cfw? and which one can i install?

Can we change region installed cia/game or can we change region cia? Or I installed a ntsc-u cia on my pal 3ds, what can I do? Free multi patcher?....
