Might be that your router cache is full. It could also just be a temporary error on the Wii U's side. Either way if it isn't working after that, just leave it until tomorrow and try again

I know, it's just...if the WiFi module malfunctioned or cannot connect, then i don't know. *Sigh* sorry, just hope I'm not locked out.

I had this same issue. I looked it up and it had something to do with the local IP of the WiiU changing. Unplugging the router and WiiU, counting to 10, and plugging everything back in fixed it.

That's really stupid that it does that, I'll try that next.


Edit: Yup, worked, that was weird oO

Edit 2: @EpicLPer Is the OSdriver on your site supposed to freeze? No race attack failed message.

So far the driver failed twice, I can't back out, I have to reboot. I thought the exploit allowed a time out.

Has anyone confirmed if you can block updates ONLY using the TubeHax DNS? (aka no router URL blocking)

P.S. Save the "why don't you try it and tell us?" lol. I'm not risking it.

Yes, I'm just using the tubehax DNS and updates are blocked successfully. Potential minor downside is that YouTube doesn't work.

I suggest using a static IP. I almost always set one with every device on my network.

lol, my router let me change anything in xD

Parental control and static IPs are mine!

URL blocking is so nice, considering I assign this to specific MAC adresses, not the IP adress

You can infact set a static IP on your devices. We have the same router and my entire network has static routes. Needed it for my A Record DNS records.

Not sure how Comcast/XFinity handles it but usually 192.168.0.1 is the router and .0.X is all other devices, so computer could be 2, wii u could be 3, etc.

You have an entire Private RFC 1918 Class Address range available to you. Literally over 16 million possible addresses you can use, pick one that you don't have set. Try one up from the highest you have connected.

Yeah, my IP is 10.x.x.x or something like that, (what Comcast uses for their routers), so I can try a variant of that. Thanks!

Comcast uses the 10.0.0.0 range but sets up as a 10.0.0.0/24 The gateway is 10.0.0.1 and most the dhcp server gives them all 10.0.0.x addresses. Entirely configurable.

Basically your gateway with the last number being anywhere between 2 and 255. As long as no two devices have the same 4th number.

Basically your gateway with the last number being anywhere between 2 and 255. As long as no two devices have the same 4th number.

Xfinity routers should have automatic DHCP leasing. If you log into your routers admin section and go to the "Connected Devices" section you should see a list of all IP addresses and devices that have been leased. As long as you're using the default settings that address should be leased for 2-4 weeks.

If you're using a virtual machine make sure to properly shut it down so the machine doesn't lease a new IP address when you restart it.
